The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The views to sea are an added bonus. Restaurant needs some renovation works. A fresh coat of varnish on the wood would give back its charm. I found the price to be just a little high for what is being offered.

We came for a short break, unfortunately...! I could've easily stayed a week! Room superb, clean, awesome water pressure and view spectacular! The food at the restaurant was good quality and service fantastic, but would've preferred more Portuguese type meals and less Thai or Indian meals on the menu. Seafood platter for 2 is a must! Not much of a...

Casa Rex was a bit above our preferred price range, but well worth the treat! Our top storey room had a stunning view overlooking the archipelago islands. Very comfy bed!Lovely pools and restaurant with many food options. Staff were very friendly and helpful in booking tours to help fill in our days. Unfortunately we did have to do some unplanned...

Casa Rex was the experience of a lifetime! Catering to both business and holiday makers, this is the place that has everything. Your room has amazing and tranquil views of the sea. The food is second to none in Vilankulo! There is absolutely every water sport you could imagine available - from stunning snorkeling to the more up tempo wind...

The Casa Rex comes highly recommended. The breakfasts are superb, as are all the meals on offer, combining local fair with Portuguese inspired dishes - Casa Rex is probably one of the best restaurants in Vilanculos. They have a peri-peri lime sauce on the tables which is deliciously addictive. We had a room with a balcony and view over the...

This is still one of my favourite places in Vilanculos, its restaurant consistently offers great fresh food , the service is good and the setting is lush , tropical and tranquil. The decor may be a bit old world / rustic for some but i find it perfectly suited to vilanculous - (this 'town' still has dirt roads just passed...

The service all round was world class. A Special mention to Jill and Paulo who's friendly and attentive style made our stay probably the most comfortable luxury getaway from home..the only negatives,,,Sure the food took too long to arrive 1hr + but we soon realised it's the norm in this part. The aircon altho working properly wouldn't cool the room...

For me at least, a boutique hotel should be modern and trendy, not just small...So my wife and I were not impressed by Casa Rex in terms of what we expected versus what it is....so much so, we moved. So the positives - Jill the customer manager was friendly and helpful. She even helped us with the move when we...

We didn't stay at Casa Rex but we (10 pax) went to Casa rex for lunch. The food was spectacular and they were so friendly that they allowed us to use their pool, which was a blessing in the heat. Thank you
