Our room had a little outdoor sitting area which I used to photograph sunsets and wildlife. Unusual bathroom with a separate shower section and toilet section. Nicely appointed room complete with fridge and hair dryers. Water temp in the pool was cold so be prepared. We were treated to some spectacular sunsets and a spotted eagle owl. Made this birder... Unloving welcome, bored personal, untrained personal who needed half a hour to mix two gin tonics. The hotel gererally was by far overstaffed. Personal used to pick in their noses while hanging around. Inpertinent personal that told me to wait 30 Min for a coffee. Big room but no cupboard and no chairs in it. Tasty dinner. The power station... More

Pleasant staff and good location for a visit to the dunes. Food was surprisingly tasty and nicely prepared. The internet, as expected, was practically non existent. Shower heads were not stationary and very difficult to use.

the rooms are big but no suitable furniture. Toilette, shower and bathroom integrated in the room but without doors - not exceptable. Breakfast and Dinner is average. Price for DBB much to high compared to other Lodges. No recommendation!

This is a great place - a mock castle in the middle of the desert. Rooms are modern and comfortable. It has a good pool, which is great after a day out in the desert at 40+ °C. There's also a water hole, attracting some wildlife, which makes for a sundownder with a view (they'll set up a temporary bar... More

...they want to be. But other than the bedding nothing is even close to three stars. Huge rooms in reception building, but they are virtually empty (no seating area or so); cold water for some days; service acceptable, breakfast very basic and the worst is the dinner experience. Out of the five courses, one was edible, the rest for waste.... More

We had a very comfortable two night stay here. The room was very comfortable with a lovey terrace overlooking the watering hole. We went on the quad bike trip which was great fun. The food was lovely, 5 course meals in the evening. We also had a massage each, it was one of the best massages I have ever had.... More

1. Our room was so big and so nice, but the toilet is "open", no complete wall, no door. 2.Winelist was good, but they didn´t served it in proper Temperatur. A special fridge for the wine with 3 different temperatures would solve the problem. In a hotel of this class an prices it should be there. 3. Also W-Lan in... More

Located in the middle of the desert, this hotel looks like a Moorish castle. I was a bit chocked at the first sight but I finally enjoyed the massages and the sunsets on our balcony. This is a great place to stay before and after a visit to Sossusvlei, so I would recommend to stay there 2 nights. Our room... More

This place has pretensions but actually it is a bit of a joke. It is over staffed with highly inefficient staff. They are very good at smiling and asking if you are having a lovely time but that is about all. Our room was very dark and the electric lights were very dim. There was no bright light. There was...
