Located on a nice spot next to the Kafue River. You might fall asleep with the sound of Hippos in your ear. The very friendly and passionate staff made this wonderfully camp in the middle of the bush a home far away from home.

Our group was referred to Mayukuyuku by a longtime Zambia resident who described this bush camp as “the authentic African experience.” This was my first time in the African bush and it was unforgettable. My tent had a nice view of the Kafue river. We watched 2 large elephants

Thank you so much for your review of Mayukuyuku Camp and we're pleased to hear you enjoyed your authentic safari experience. The beauty of the camp is you can often get great wildlife sightings without even leaving camp. Sitting back on the rover and watching the wildlife is hard to beat.

Our group of 5 visited in September, 2018. The staff was totally attentive and helpful. The young safari guide was incredible. His knowledge of the animals and their habitat was astounding. Tents were comfortable; the outdoor shower is amazing. My only concern was if an

Hi Martin, From the north – presumably through the park, there are no places to get diesel – you would need to buy in Mumbwa (2 fuel stations) and not come through the park. The camp can get diesel for you if you advise how much you need. Fuel is around a $1 a litre and you can pay in camp. There would be a service fee but it would be nominal as you have notified well in advance.
