We were on a photo safari tour of Southeast Africa. The Royal Zambezi Lodge provided the most amazing in-camp animal encounters. Hippos, monkeys and elephants toured around our room. The animals roam freely through the camp and the guests must be guided to their rooms...More

Our honeymoon at RZL was nothing short of magical. We are still in disbelief how perfect our stay was. The Room: Luxurious. Stylish. Very comfortable. A nice, plush bed, the most perfect bathtub I've ever sat in, and every 'extra' you could need from hairdryer...More

A follow up question about the Cultural Village experience.... If you choose the optional extra of the cultural village experience, do you have to miss out on one or both of the other experiences of the day--game drive, canoe safari, game walk, etc? Can the cultural village experience be done during the day between the morning/evening game experiences? By the way, Odysseys doesn't seem to even know about your Cultural Village experience. I even asked one of their customer service people about it. I found it on your Lodge website. You might get more interest if Odysseys made it an option. (They do offer a village experience in Namibia--while the group is in Chobe--but there you have to miss both morning and evening game drives according to the information I've been given both verbally and in writing. May be different in reality since it's a 3-hour activity.) I am with the Odysseys group arriving on September 5.
