If your looking for a scenic, peaceful place to go to lose weight or stay in shape this is the place to go. I saw this on Living Social and decided to give it a try. The resort offers an opportunity to work out at your own pace and eat healthy. I loved the excersize classes that were offered through...

I simply can't believe the stellar reviews that I read here. This assured me that I was making a good decision to book a stay at the Hunter Spa. This place was horrible. At one time it may have been nice - but through recent new ownership - they have a new chef and new management. It was a morbid...

The lodging is cozy and clean, and on a beautiful sprawling property with tennis courts (free to play!), outdoor pool, and gorgeous scenery especially when the leaves are changing colors. The neighboring towns are inviting, with delicious cafes and lots to do -- you can go up to the top of Hunter mountain on a ski lift, go on awesome...

I've been going upstate to Hunter Mountain Hotel & Spa since 1998. In 1997, I had a debilitating accident. As a result of that accident, I gained 45 pounds, bringing my weight from 160, to 215 pounds. At 5' 8" tall, 215lbs is far to much for my frame. In fact, I barely recognized myself when I looked in the...

A very, very rustic facility that offers friendly, no nonsense health and wellness options. They recently hired the most amazing chef who makes delicious, nutritious and plentiful portions. The secret ingredient is turmeric and tons of veggies and legumes but you get lots of delicious proteins as well. Chef Vince catered to all of my many allergies and spoke to...

I loved how quiet it was in the room especially for a person who is from the city and the distance to the mountain is so convenient! Less than a mile away, you will be able to ski, or to visit the town's famous cheese shop. The owners were very pleasant and we were allowed to check in earlier. The...

Ok, so first let me start by saying the staff was very friendly and accommodating. They let us check in early at 9am when we arrived. We bought this through a Groupon deal that included an overnight, 2 lift tickets for Hunter Mountain, and breakfast for 2. The price was right as staying anywhere else would have likely cost us...

I just returned from a fantastic ski weekend in Hunter. This was a Holiday week and all the other hotels demanded a minimum of 3 night stay at 400.00 per night (without lift tickets). We came here totally last minute - bought a groupon for 269 which included lift tickets for two. The staff was very friendly and let us...

If you are looking for an affordable weight loss retreat, this is it! As others have mentioned, it is quite rustic. Yes, the rooms and common areas could use some updating, but this would result in paying double or even triple the price. Hunter Mountain Hotel and Spa feels more like an intimate private retreat. The staff and food were outstanding!...
