I would NOT recommend booking with this company. They have effectively stolen €1000 from me. Here is why: Due my job, I had to cancel my trip with Dakhla Spirit two months before the trip was due to begin. This was within their 100% refund period clearly detailed on their website. Unfortunately, due to this aligning with the Covid pandemic, they emailed to say they would be unable to refund this temporarily. 3 years and over 15 emails requesting it later, I still have not received my refund. The email would either be ignored entirely, or a slow response saying that only rebooking would be possible. As requested by Dakhla Spirit, we attempted to rebook the trip instead. Getting a response that there was availability for a week in August, we then replyed to book for the week. Both myself and my partner booked leave from work. However, there was no response from Dakhla Spirit confirming we could be booked in. Despite us contacting two email addresses, calling, WhatsApp and Facebook messenger; we could not get a response. It took over 2 and a half weeks before we received a confirmation response. By this point, all the flights had now booked up and we would be unable to get to Dakhla. I once again asked for my refund as despite trying to be accommodating, Dakhla Spirit had messed around despite simply needing to respond to their emails within a week. This whole situation could have been entirely avoided. I also contacted Dakhla Spirit a week ago that I would leave this review unless they returned my money. You guessed it: No response.…

I had an excellent stay at Dakhla Spirit in April 2023. I went with a group of friends to kiteboard and it was great craic. The rooms are a tad basic, but they did what was required, a bed and hot showers. The conditions for kiting are marvelous. The staff could not be more helpful with a cheerful smile and willingness to help. Mustafa and Badar were the beach team and excellent with useful local kiting knowledge, launching and catching kites. Hajar, Nouhaila and Sonia were onshore staff who always had a smile and happy to assist with any adminstrative issues and the serving of food. I will be going back.

This is my second trip to Dakhla Spirit. Really great kitesurfing spot. Tremendous staff who went out of their way to look after us. Good food (although wise to bring snacks for post kiting re-fuel). Rooms really well cleaned. The guys running the kite side of the business could not be more helpful and knowledgable and are expert at turning around quick repairs. From my perspective I think there are less kites on the Dakhla Spirit side of the lagoon, which is worth thinking about when choosing a location. All in all, a really good trip and already planning my return.

I had an amazing time in Dakhla Spirit. Living right on the shore of Dakhla lagoon which is a perfect kitesurfing spot. Cozy rooms with private bathroom, great food and kind people. Definitely not my last time here!!

Beautiful stay at the Spirit Camp. This is an absolute heaven for kitesurfers. Excellent location with plenty of wind. The kite school offers a safe equipment storage and a rescue boat. Guys from the school were attentive and did absolutely everything they could to help and despite the language barrier (some don't speak English and I don't speak Arabic) communication was effective. Food was tasty and served by a lovely staff. You would not get hungry but if you are a fussy eater it may not be to your liking. Rooms are basic (I was in one of those) but enough for everything you need on a kitesurfing trip. Hot showers available. Rooms were cleaned daily and staff did a good job. Change of towel daily would have been nice but I had my own towels too so I didn't care that much. In essence you get what you pay for. On a non wind day there are some things to do; surf, golf, town visit or just some drinks by the pool during the day or beach bar later in the evening. The best thing about this place is location, staff and a sense of family feel. I have visited many kitesurfing places and Dakhla compares with the best. Whatever your riding level is you would definitely be able to have enough practice and progression. One of the worst experiences we ever had in our life.My wife and I went here on September hoping to spend 3 nights. Instead we left after spending 2 because we couldn’t survive here. Buffet doesn’t exist and if it does it has nothing you can eat. We had to beg the staff to get food. For breakfast: They served old bread that was put in an oven which was rock solid, along with butter and some jam. No eggs available, no fruits, and don’t bother to ask because they simply say “ that’s all we have” Manager/owner (bold dude ) only cares about selling alcohol while playing the DJ all night long until 4 am. He seemed happy with what he was doing but forgot about managing the place. You can’t get food here and you can’t rest after a long day. We felt trapped and surrounded by unprofessional people. We had to leave before our check out date. I do not recommend this place to anyone ever!! And if you’re a Kite enthusiast please make sure you bring your own groceries, don’t starve after so much effort in the lagoon. Oh yeah and it’s November and we are still waiting for our invoice after so many phone calls and we never got it.…

I highly recommend this place, we spent 1 week in dakhla spirit and we took 12h hours of kiting. Momo and Bader, our professionals kite teachers were incredible, they gave us self confidence in kiting, you can practice and learn kite in a secure way! Everybody was so kind, the food was marvelous, we’ve met soufiane and with Momo and the team who made our stay remarkable : surfing, jet skiing, fish restaurant ! Thank you everybody for your kindness, we will back for sure !

Winds are locally much better then the wind stats tell. On days of no wind, the owner does everything to show his guests around to a nice wavesurf spot, an awesome fishrestaurant, and on request even a trip on his jetski. There are always beachboys help you launch your kite. Staff is friendly and communicative. Great experience!

Had an incredible stay at Dakhla Spirit. Food was always delicious and staff were very friendly. Definitely take kitesurfing lessons as the instructors are great. The resort is conveniently located and well managed. Highly recommend!!
