Each cottage is completely separate and has its own private garden. All are close to our fenced and alarmed 16m x 5m swimming pool that has an additional shallow pool for children. La Boulangerie, a perfect private hideaway for two with its own garden, La Vieille Grange, sleeps up to 7, ideal for families, private garden and stunning views over the valley below and La Maison Perigordine, a period newly renovated six bed Gite ideal for families or a group of friends. We spent a long weekend with Tish and Stu and were thoroughly spoilt. Beautiful location looking down on the Dordogne valley, lovely walks and nearby villages to explore. We stayed in La Boulangerie, a cosy one bedroomed gite with log burner. The attention to detail is amazing, from the quality of the linen to the milk in the fridge, we could not have asked for more. And to top it all, the weather was mild and sunny - such a great change from England in February.

My wife and I, and Pebbles (our Border terrier) had a fantastic 10 days at this perfect location. We thoroughly enjoyed our gite, the facilities & swimming pool. The pool was well maintained and was a great welcome after an 11 hr journey from the UK in the hot weather. Stuart & Trish cooked us an amazing meal on the first night of arrival and booked us restaurants, found us local wines, recommended good air balloon trips and provided amazing advice on various markets and local shops. The location has great views and provides easy access to some really pretty towns and villages. It was for a lovely holiday and we would most definitely recommend anyone that wants to visit, without or without their pets.

We had a family week in August, 8 adults + 4 children, spread across the 3 gites. We all had a fantastic week, really enjoyed the facilities. Gites , gardens & swimming pool were all well maintained and plenty of really nice touches. Stuart & Trish were excellent hosts, booked us restaurants, canoeing trips and gave us a really nice meal on the first night ( which in effect lasted us 2 days). Their advice about the various markets and the local wine shop + bakery was very welcome, we happily took advantage of it. The location has great views and provides easy access to some really pretty towns and villages.
Thanks for a lovely holiday, certainly no hesitation in recommending it and our intention is to be back sometime in the future.

We have just enjoyed a wonderfully warm and sunny week at Maisons La Boissiere. Stuart and Tish were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The first food shop and home cooked first night meal was most welcome after our long drive.

The swimming pool was fantastic; a great size, very clean and surprisingly warm for this time of year. Lovely sun loungers too.

The gite was charming and the little extras such as pool towels, bikes and BBQ really added to the holiday.

The views from the terrace were so beautiful; ideal for enjoying alfresco dining and a glass of wine. Situated in a great location - easy to explore the region with lots of great places to visit within a 20-30 minute drive.

A truly memorable holiday, made all the better by the lovely hosts, Stuart and Tish!

This was our third trip to stay at Maison La Boissiere and was exactly the medicine needed after being in lockdown in the UK. Stu and Tish give such a warm welcome and nothing is too much trouble where their guests are concerned - from providing wine and provisions for when we arrived, to cooking dinner in their beautiful walled garden, and providing some first aid help when one of our party sprained an ankle. The gites are really lovely and furnished with great care to feel like home from home, with fabulous views. Our children enjoyed hours of fun playing in the gorgeous pool, allowing us to relax by the pool and read, real bliss! We will definitely return soon.

Booked late and the hosts were very accommodating. Fabulous pool area, lovely views from the terrace. Stuart and Tish cooked a great meal for us gaspacho soup, salmon en croute followed by chocolate mousse and cheese platter, more than stood up against the local restaurants. Really enjoyed the week there.

What a great find this place is. We have been disappointed in the past with some gites but not this time.
The best hosts, Stu and Tish genuinely love running this place and it shows in how they look after their guests. Nothing was too much trouble - they treat guests as personal friends!
The Boulangerie was perfect for two, with one of the largest and most comfortable beds I have slept in.
A proper sized swimming pool - quite rare with so many gites.
Wonderful views and setting.
Alll the.main attractions are near.
After waiting 2 years to have our 'annual' french holiday (due to covid), this week could not have been better.

The gites and the pool are top quality so we didn't have to be on the move but this is a magnificent location which gave us so many options. The river beaches, the kayaking, the stunning villages / towns and restaurants..... are all so close!

Huge thanks to Tish and Stu.

We stayed at Maisons-la-Boissiere for 6 days whist visiting the Dordogne, " what a great find " Stuart & Tish were the perfect hosts, with a wealth of information on the area of thing to do & see If you don't feel like cooking Stuart & Tish are perfectly happy and capable of producing some wonderful 5* meals.
The accommodation is clean fresh bright and beautifully furnished but still has the oldie-worldly feel to it, we loved the Fabulous views from our covered terrace in the morning. The pool and garden area are a great place to relax after a days visiting local old bastille towns, markets, & chateaus, for the more energetic there are mountain bikes for you to use and some great walks too.
Locally you can hire canoes for an adventure down river, pleasure boat trips, a nice Golf course, also a perfect retreat if your into fishing.

Fantastic place to stay & we will be back that's for sure ( "sorry Stu & Tish" ) but we loved it and hope to be back soon

We stayed in the smallest of the 3 gites at this smashing place run by some old friends in the heart of the Dordogne for a long weekend. La Boulangerie, as this gite is known, is beautifully decorated in clean, crisp lines, complete with a wonderful vaulted bedroom, a very comfortable kingside bed and great bathroom. The views to the east and south over the valley are incredible and the gite has its own patio for barbecuing and a very private garden for sunbathing, complete with sun loungers. From there it is but a few yards to the generously sized swimming pool which again has stunning views. There's plenty to explore in the area, from markets and gardens to chateaux and a wide array of restaurants. A great place to unwind.
