This place is friendly, good hot water ( the reception warned of no water on first night before check-in, other days were fine) . Internet good for some rooms, ask at reception. Notice at reception says Same-sex couples pay 50birr more for double or twins. Rooms have mosquito nets.

Location is perfect, off the main road so not too noisy but easy to find and walking distance to the lake front. We got a shared bathroom room, everything was clean and fine for the price (200birr/double bed). Limited English at the front desk and mainly used by locals which for us, is a plus!

This is a solid and cheap option in Bahir Dar, although it is a bit run-down. It is located right in the center and it takes you by foot 3 minutes to the bus station and about the same time to the lake. I payed 190 Birr for an en suite single room, which should tell you about the hotel...

The good things first: The location is good, right in the center of the city. The price is unbeatable for 190 Birr a night, a no inflated prices for foreigners. On first sight our room seemed fine too, the TV worked and the shower had hot water. However, when we setteled for the night, we noticed aweful smell coming from...

I have stayed in this pension a couple of times during my visit to Bahir Dar. It is environmentally friendly. Accommodation is clean, and is located at the heart of the city. It is very close to all amenities. Services are excellent with Wifi connection, satellite dish with BBC, CNN, and Al Jazeera services. There is 24 hours hot water...

This is a good place to stay in Bahir Dar. It is not anything fancy but it is clean and affordable, everything works including the hot water, and the staff are helpful and friendly. It is also a good location -- just about a block off the main road. Wifi really only works on the ground floor, though it is...

Stayed at this place for about 3 week during a scholarship at Bahir Dar university. I stayed in the cheapest rooms facing the street and with shared bathroom. Sharing bathroom was fine for me, the staff cleans every morning. It could be a little noisy in the morning especially since i slept with the balcony open (mosquito net) but the...

I spent 2 weeks at Tsehay pension whilst doing some work in Bahir Dar. The pension is centrally located close to many cafes and 5 minutes walk to the lake. It is quite large with 3 floors and many rooms and is kept clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Wifi is available on all floors but at times...
