Lovely place to stay. Room was spacious and had a balcony and large windows, so had a nice view and lots of light. There was a good powerful, hot shower. The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was fine. Order a lentil salad for lunch/dinner in the restaurant - its really tasty! Nice outdoor area to eat, very... More

It was a good place to relax after having done a tour of the Danakil Depression. Staff here are friendly and helpful and the rooms are spacious with balconies and beautiful views. Some of the reviews mention mosquitoes- Yes. as soon as the sun sets you may get mosquitoes flying in if you leave the balcony door open. Keep it... More

The rooms are good in size and clean, the staff was friendly and nice. Food at the restaurant was cheap and tasty. On the other hand, the location is not ideal if you want to get a taste of the centre of the town and, most of all, they absolutely NEED to install mosquito nets.

Only thing good about this place is the view from the balcony. But other than that I would give negative ratings for the rest of amenities. The place is mosquito infested in the evenings. Bathrooms are smelly. Breakfast is stale (My coffee had a few termites floating on the top and egg scramble felt like it was from the day... More

The staff were all extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for us, also arranging a guide to visit the churches. We met family friends who had come on a four hour bus drive to see us. They were made welcome and we were able to sit together in the outside undercover area. The rooms were basic, but very comfortable. Hot... More

The views are spectacular from the balconies - all rooms face the same way, but if you sit on the balcony you leave the french door open..Without mosquito screening, or mosquito nets, the pests were buzzing and biting all nights even with the door closed which made the room very stuffy. There is no malaria in Lalibela but there are... More

I had booked one of the budget single rooms, which had its own bathroom and balcony with a nice view. The shower in the room was hot, but not exactly a power shower. The restaurant/bar was very good, a lovely breakfast. Staff are fantastic and eager to help. A good location, its quite at night (except for 1 night I... More
