We were in the water front rooms in a King bed room. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful with all the tile and the way it was setup very spacious. The only problem would be that the bed mattresses are a bit too soft. Having never been in Lake Placid or for that matter in...

We arrived after 9pm at the hotel. Check in was great and we loved the room. We didn't stay long enough to enjoy the spa but did have breakfast at the Dancing Bears restaurant. The staff were friendly and the food was great. We will definitely stay here again and for a longer duration. The hotel is centrally located on...

My family and I stayed at the High Peaks Resort the Sunday after the Lake Placid Marathon and had a wonderful stay. With three pools, one indoor and two outdoor, access to Mirror Lake, a restaurant, and walking distance to all the shops in town, it has all you need--and luxury: restaurant, spa, fitness center, conference rooms. Staff went out...

We were passing through Lake Placid and thought we would stop for the afternoon and stay overnight. We had a choice of. Room in the main hotel or a room in a smaller building with rooms close to Mirror Lake. The difference in orice was $40 but worth it. Our room had a patio door right out on Mirror Lake....

I just got back to PA after staying at the resort for three days. My last day was spent at the salon/Spa and I couldn't be happier. My stay was way too short, I was hardly able to see everything the town, let alone the hotel, had to offer. I will make this my go to place to stay every...

This was our first trip to Lake Placid. We have mixed reviews about the area but this is a hotel review so lets stay focused! Location is good but not great, meaning it wasn't water front. The main building is across the street from the lake, and they offer waterfront rooms at their waterfront building across the street for premium...

Under new management? We have stayed here several tones, but this time service staff were not on their game! Check in was complicated and check out a night mare. A new computer system? That is not my fault. Rooms lovely as usual, but changed their line of toiletries. Parker cup, shampoo etc. were not replenished. Staff in the Dancing Bear...

Alright. Nice, newly reno'd bathroom. Huge pleather couch in the room with a balcony overlooking the lake...which is not Placid, in Placid. Service at the Dancing Bears was good in the morning, hit and miss in the evening.

Remember the videos of the maids spraying the bathroom glasses with window cleaner. Well after seeing the condition of the room, I rewashed the glasses before using. Bed linens were not changed. When we requested, staff was very good and did it promptly. But when we checked out and looked under the bed, we found a bronze medal from some...

This is a great hotel, we stayed for a couple of nights All was great except housekeeping. When we arrived on Sunday there was no shampoo and conditioner. We asked the maid in the hallway. She said they were running low but gave us shampoo and will get conditioner to us, this never happened. The second day after our room...
