The lodge is by far one of the best places I have been. The details of the lodge are incredible, there are so many areas to sit and relax throughout the lodge and grounds. We went cross country skiing and hiking around the lodge. The staff really make this place memorable. The room was beautful, the view breathtaking, breakfast amazing,... More

Why not five ratings ?This place is great! We stayed over Columbus Day weekend in a lake front cabin. We payed $1500 for one night which i think is a lot of money and your expectations goes up with it. The resort itself is gorgeous and the lake is stunning. Our cabin was very private which we liked but not... More

This is a beautiful lodge that hearkens to the grand lakefront lodges of yesteryear. While the lodge was rebuilt in 2005 or so, the craftsmanship was remarkable, and really gives a feel that it was constructed in the 20's or 30's with old world attention to detail. Our check-in went smoothly, with a champagne welcome which is a nice touch.... More

This Lodge is outstanding in all ways. We visited for fall leaves and loved our cabin and the lodge. Cozy, quaint, rustic, elegant. The Hacker boat tour around the Lake was a highlight. Bring a glass of wine! If you're visiting Lake Placid, this is the place to stay.

Watching the foliage change from a lakefront cottage at this extraordinary Adirondack hotel is a unique pleasure. The facilities are very well maintained ( although some soft good replacements are needed and our housekeeping was not impeccable) and should be considering the cost during prime time. Food and beverage is ambitious and very good. We had an excellent dinner and... More

We spent this past weekend at the Lodge. It's absolutely beautiful. We were greeted with a nice glass of champagne. The room had a magnificent view and was very beautiful! The service is top notch. We decided to stay in and have dinner and drinks at Maggie's Pub- the food was delicious and the bartender was very friendly and made... More

In a nutshell... the PROS: - beautiful location - well-kept, clean and comfortable CONS The service is sloppy. The staff is very young and not trained. Some examples... - The person at the front desk at check in doesn't explain or mention anything. Such as, that there are tours of the lodge (even though I asked), boat tours of the... More

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The staff was very welcoming and charming and provided a top notch service! The location is unbeatable and the view is breathtaking. We would have loved a buffet breakfast instead of à-la-carte, it gives you more options. Maggie's Pub is delicious and very cozy!

Fabulous location gorgeous lodges simply but very comfortably decorated most if not all different. Spectacular views of the lake. French Champagne on arrival and very friendly welcome. All members of staff do their very best to make sure you are happy and comfortable and the management take extra special care. They will take endless time to help you identify what... More
