It was our first stay at Umngazi River Bungalows, however, certainly not our last! The relaxed, homely atmosphere and the cheerful attitude of the staff (and there are lots of them!) make this a dream break at the end of a tiring year - Umngazi is a well oiled machine, everything runs smoothly from first light to the time your...

The hotel is located in a fantastic setting. The spa experience was Amazing with wonderful views. Christmas Eve dinner was excellent but the rest of the food was mostly average.Drinks are reasonably priced with a good wine selection. All round great recreational facilities.

Definitely a first class stay. We enjoyed the sunrise and sunset views and experienced all kinds of weather ... eerie thick mist, rays of sunshine and...

There is a generous amount of food (which was all truly delicious) and also activities. I particularly enjoyed the day my husband and I spent on the beach fishing. We organised a...

We really liked the stay. The place is full of repetitive South African guests who are very open to newcomers. The food was good even for us vegetarians. The rates of beverages are very reasonable. Overall the staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the reception staff we met during check in, check out and the 3 times we asked about...

What an incredible stay! From the courteous manner of the Porter to the smiley and efficient Receptionist, we were amazed with the camaraderie of the staff! Everyone was so willing to be of service. We look forward to our next visit next year! We have told so many of our friends of our delightful experience.
