I have a thought. It is winter and the Mohonk is likely to have (or make up) activities centred around Mohonk lake. The handiness of the lake is its proximity to the Mountain House facilitating quick in/out privileges. You could have a hockey game or just plain skating or even walking. The circumference of the lake facing the House is dotted with benches (for tots and older folk), fire pits to keep warm and hot chocolate can be rolled out along with snacks to keep the juices flowing. In addition, the Mohonk staff are very accommodating for such endeavours. Now, this whole scenario turns to crap if the weather is unbecoming. As a second thought, I would recommend that you check the Mohonk website and/or the folks at the House for the schedule of events. This would give you numerous options that may tickle your interest. Also, if you have great time flexibility, you might be able to find a suitable Mohonk pre-existing event and reverse engineer it into your timetable. Happy Hunting.

I don’t know. You will need to research it. They might have cross country skiing at the lodge. I suggest calling the Lodge.

There aren’t any conveniences in the rooms. I’d recommend a lake view room. Hope this helps.
