We first stayed at this hotel about 6 years ago so, on return from a trip further south and taking the ferry from Dieppe we decided to make this a final stop on this visit to France. Previously we stayed in the Chateau, had dinner in the Mill and breakfast on the terrace at the back of the Chateau overlooking...

.....but some small things let it down slightly. First of all the hotel is in an idyllic setting, the staff are friendly and the rooms spacious and well decorated. The pool is an added bonus and with mid 20's Centigrade was a welcome facility! The food was very good on the whole although the wine (chosen and "shown" to us...

We stayed here overnight en route to our final destination. A beautiful setting in a quiet village with good food an extensive wine menu and nice rooms. We had a standard room in the Mill which was dual aspect, looking out of the front of the hotel as well as onto the garden. It was quite peaceful despite being in...

We had 3 nights here and would've happily had a week - perhaps next time. the furniture is beautiful, the layout charming and we'll be back. Given we have to work from time to time while on holidays, it was terrific to have a separate room in which the laptops could be set up. Wifi was excellent. Rooms very spacious...

A hidden retreat with a roaring fire, a library, distinguished rooms, and accommodating staff. If they didn't have an infestation of ladybugs I would have rated it higher. I would definitely return here.

All the staff and owners are welcoming friendly and helpful. Nothing can be faulted. We will defiantly be back.

Okay, so the rooms are quaint but we like that 'faded grandeur' look and everything is spotlessly clean. We did think it was a bit cheeky to keep adding extra euros onto certain menu choices but the food is totally DELICIOUS and the staff friendly and efficient. I ate probably the best, most tender lamb of my entire 66 year...

We were making a stopover on our way from Spain to UK, and looking for somewhere different to stay. This certainly fit the bill! We had originally booked to stay in the Chateau, but when we saw the Mill we were enchanted and asked if we could switch, which we did! The surroundings are beautiful. The room we had was...

Set in a fabulous location with so much to offer, you can stay in the beautiful mill with it's rustic french charm, or in the Chateau with it's elegance and grandeur, this is our fifth stay at villeray and we love it, so peaceful with much on offer for simple relaxation, the meandering river to enjoy by canoe or just...
