Pezoules…..absolutely wonderful. The hotel was recommended to us by friends who have been there before and could not say enough great things about it. Are expectations were high, however our experience was far better than we imagined. The owners are amazingly kind and the staff are so friendly, we left feeling like family. Breakfast was a wonderful experience, being able to enjoy it on our porch overlooking the caldera. Socializing in the pool with the ability to order drinks and food without leaving the water. Although the hotel is only 39 steps from the main walking path through Oia, the hotel seems miles removed. When staying at Pezoules, guests are within a 10 minute walk of most everything in the town. If you desire to go elsewhere on the island, be it cooking classes or to visit ruins or a sunset cruise, all you have to do is ask the front desk and within a very short time they are able to set the time up, as well as the transportation. The question is: why would you ever want to leave. I would have loved to stay longer. To stay with my new “family.” SIX stars. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hotel's Favourite
I spent months researching a perfect place to stay in Oia, and am pretty confident that we found it! In late May we spent 4 wonderful nights at Pezoules. I booked a year in advance to be certain we had to room we wanted, the Mentha cave suite with private Jacuzzi. This room offered immense privacy. The Jacuzzi was around the corner from the entrance to our room which meant we had complete privacy there from other guests, and due to the position of the hotel there were not other properties looking down on us. After arriving by plane in Santorini we hopped in our rental car and followed directions sent to us by the hotel in advance. We parked across from Drossos in the paid parking lot (worth it so you didn't have the hassle of trying to find a spot) and were met by hotel staff who carried our bags and led us to paradise. After a warm welcome from Penny and Dimitri we settled into our room and were brought a wonderful drink and just enjoy the iconic panoramic view of the caldera. No photos can get this view just right, because the view is so expansive no lens can capture the entire shot! The room was wonderfully decorated, and quiet. Wifi worked great. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly kind and welcome from bellman, housekeepers, desk staff, and the friendly folks who delivered breakfast to your room each morning or served you at the bar by the pool. Breakfasts were some of the best we had over 3 weeks traveling in Greece. Coffee, Juice, homemade breads, yogurt, boiled eggs, fruit, greek cheeses/meat, a daily special cooked item, etc. were brought to our balcony at a time of our choosing. Just wake up and call and it would be delivered to us. One afternoon we enjoyed drinks and a homemade pizza by the infinity pool, which on a hot day in late May was a real treat. Pezoules was completely worth the expense. I don't know that I'll be able to afford a trip back next year, but you can bet the next time we decide to return we'll choose Pezoules. Santorini itself was quite enjoyable. In late May the huge crowds hadn't yet descended, and we could get into some of the best restaurants with a reservation only a few days in advance. Our rental car allowed us to explore places like ancient Akrotiri, red beach, vlychada beach, Kamari beach and a hike up to ancient Thera. The hotel arranged a private transfer for us to the port the day we left, and the driver was actually one of the funniest and most engaging drivers I've encountered. Ha! I can't say enough positive things about Pezoules.

We traveled to Santorini for our honeymoon, and Pezoules came highly recommended by our friends. The service is impeccable, as is the attention to detail. The staff was attentive to our every need and incredibly helpful. The room was spacious and immaculate; the breakfast - served on our balcony - was absolutely delicious (and enough to feed a small family); and the view... Well, no words or photos will ever be enough to describe it. But the biggest selling point was the location. Everything is within walking distance, from restaurants to shops, and even though the streets can get crowded, when we returned to the hotel, we felt as if we were in a private villa all by ourselves. We will definitely be coming back to Pezoules!

Pezoules is a small, family-owned boutique hotel with seven cave suites built into the cliffs facing the caldera. The rooms are perfectly sized, but you’ll be spending much time outdoors on your terrace, being spellbound by the deep blue Aegean Sea, water activities, and expansive sky. I researched for our accommodations in Oia about 9 months before our arrival to assure our choice of hotel and room and central location. We stayed in the Mentha room for its privacy and warm outdoors hot tub, which was a pleasure to soak in at the end of the day. Having a most generous and filling breakfast in the morning on the terrace and a drink in the late afternoon was utter delight! The other valuable highlight to Pezoules is the high level of services provided, which were personable, helpful, and most professional. Vicky at the front desk made excellent recommendations as to how we spend our time in Santorini, esp as we were advised by our TA not to rent a car on this crowded island, and she always promptly replied to my various email inquiries. Weeks before our arrival, we chose to do a 6-hour tour with a private guide one day; did the Fira to Oia walk on our own on day two; and finished our trip to Greece with a sunset catamaran cruise by Ammoudi Bay with pick up and drop off near our hotel. Vicky arranged these for us as well as our transfers and restaurant reservations. I would imagine this level of service would be ideal for brides & grooms, who are busy planning their weddings, and wanting someone else reliable to lock in their honeymoon plans in Santorini. Vicky and her staff would be perfect for this! The other “service heroes” at Pezoules were the strong gentleman who met us at our transfer stop when we arrived in Oia and carried single-handedly our luggage all the way down to our suite, so many steps! (and met us at 5:20 am at our room on departure day to take our luggage) and the kind, strong man, Nikos?, who brought breakfast to us daily, opened up our sun umbrella, etc. And there was the housekeeping staff and bartender by the pool, all doing their jobs with care and kindness. They all work hard to create a stress free vacation for us, even at the end of their season! Everyone was outstanding! Tip them generously! Thank you, Pezoules, for such a memorable time!!

If your looking for a charming little place PEZOULES is it! We have stayed at this gorgeous, peaceful hotel many times and we will continue coming back every year. It’s mesmerizing view of the Caldera is breathtaking and you can’t deny how relaxing it makes you feel. Everyone at Pezoules will make sure you have everything you need and are happy to suggest and a good place for dinner. A sailing trip or a cooking class etc. just ask and they will help. The breakfast is out of this world and you are served right on your private balcony with the stunning views. They also have a great lunch menu with carefully designed menu. You will not be disappointed. Demitri and Mirella have made this place a unique place and have a wonderful staff who cares about their guests. It’s small only 7 rooms and they book quickly every year so get your reservations in so you won’t miss out on this amazing place. You won’t regret it!

What a beautiful oasis in the charming town of Oia. There are 7 cave suites (we were fortunate to be in Althaea), nestled down the hillside, with stunning views and outstanding service. From the porter hauling our heavy luggage (we were 3 weeks into a trip that included a cruise, so were loaded down) from the car, through the cobblestone streets, down the narrow winding stairs (and eventually back up again), to the spotlessly clean room with a breathtaking view, and the excellent guidance and recommendations of Vicky , to the extensive and delicious breakfast delivery each morning - it was all we hoped for. Yes, there are a-lot of steep, winding, uneven stairs and they can be slippery even when dry. Going UP is less fun and there is no way this will work if you lack mobility. Such is the situation at every property if you want to stay in this area. Also, there was the delightful breakfast, but the restaurant was understaffed and closed our entire stay, including for room service or snacks, and for the price of the hotel - I would have reduced this 1/2 star for this reason. Our first night we luckily had a heavy lunch as we were not aware of this, didn’t feel like trekking up the stairs, and just skipped dinner. Again for the price - alternative options should have been made available. Also do not think you will be seeing the famous sunset from this property. Why some reviews allude to this mystifies me as you will NOT see it from this property. You can see it nearby - but people flock here for this reason and walking among so many people to catch a glimpse of it not worth it. Instead the moonrise was spectacular, you can see the sunrise if you choose, and Vicky made us a dinner reservation on a rooftop location just minutes away, and on night 2 we enjoyed the beautiful sunset from there. Front row seat with a delicious meal! The pool bar was open and accommodating so drinks were plentiful. The pool is small and they do not provide loungers there (they should) but it is very nice and the view from there incredible. Our hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed it each evening. When you reach the top of the steps you can enjoy walking through the town and seeing all the shops, sitting at the bars or cafes and despite the crowds at times, very charming and enjoyable. Vicky also led us to Amoudi Bay and gave strict guidance on where to park so we could avoid getting stuck in the parking lot. We had an incredible visit and one of the best meals of our trip there. In the evening they just “appear” and put down your canopy on your balcony, and light a lovely candle. In the morning the candle has disappeared, the canopy is up, and breakfast arrives at your chosen time. Linens are nice in the room, there is a handy wet bar, the shower is great, and we never turned on the tv. Yes there are some ants - hard to avoid in this environment. They spray every couple days and if you tell them you’re having ants they’ll come deal with it as best they can. We just had a a few in the bathroom and nowhere else. We had a rental car but once we got the hang of it - parking wasn’t that difficult. ALL staff here top notch. We’ll be reminiscing about our stay here for years to come.

This was the perfect stay to kick off our honeymoon. It felt so peaceful after walking through the busy sidewalks of Oia and the views are incredible. The breakfast delivered to the balcony was AMAZING. Also highly suggesting waking up early to watch the beautiful sunrises. Service was top notch.

We met a few friends here and wow what a treat! Our friends have gone every year for the last 8 years. And now we understand why. The service is on point, the room and view are to die for…. Breakfast and lunch were the bomb. Drinks were tasty at the pool too. I would recommend this for any couple or group of friends. Amazing.

"This place comes highly recommended! The hospitality and service were outstanding during our stay at the Mentha cave room. The room was absolutely amazing, complete with a cozy jacuzzi and breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. Whenever we requested, breakfast was served on our balcony. What stood out was the family-oriented approach; Vicky at the reception assisted us in booking restaurants, trips, and more. Last but not least, a big thanks to Ismael for helping us with our luggage!"
