#50 of 81 Speciality lodging in Oia
Bathed in the continual light of Santorini, Aeifos is a complex of seven renovated, traditional cave homes situated at the edge of Oia, next to the medieval castle. The cave homes date from just before 1900s, and they were literally carved into the rock, as was the tradition in Oia. The original cave homes were built as independent units, with own courtyard and separate access to the external stair. The complex has Panoramic Caldera view.

Nikolas is absolutely the most wonderful and joyful person on Santorini! Thankful for him! We will return to this place thanks to him! I wish they had fruit for free breakfast as we do not eat bread, but who cares when you had a great Sunrise view

Despite the steep and many steps down the cliff to get to your holiday house, the stay is worth the effort. But if you suffer from vertigo or have young kids I would not advise it. Our apartment was dug in the cliff and enjoyed a marvelous view as it overlooked the Caldera. It was elegantly furnished, very clean and fitted with all the necessary things to have your breakfast on the balcony in the morning or enjoy wine at sunset. Fridge, nespresso machine, kettle as well as coffee, tea, sugar etc. They also gave us a welcome bottle of wine from the local winery. The staff was extremely helpful in all ways, suggesting places to go and restaurants. We had a really unforgettable vacation!!!!

Lovely place to stay in. Beautiful view, quiet and romantic despite being in the most touristic spot in Oia. Don't expect a hotel service but they have Very clean and tidy rooms, very friendly and helpful staff. We loved our stay there, unforgettable moments ❤️

Stayed here at the end of June and an overall decent experience. The small apartment we stayed in was nicely renovated and super clean. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have daily cleaning service. You also can't beat the location and views from this place! Hotel staff was friendly and super helpful. On the downside, there was a horrible mildew smell in the room from the AC that left a smell on our clothes. My guess is the AC wasn't place in the right area so even the bathroom smelled horrible. In addition, there was an insect situation. The bed in the small loft area of our room (which needs a fan!) would have small ants crawling around at night even though the window was closed. And, to make matters worse, we found two scorpions in our room the morning we left. They apparently spray for this so not sure how they got in.

This is a fantastic hotel to stay at with amazing views. Rooms are nice, wifi and breakfast in the room is included. Breakfast is simple made up of breads, jams, yogurt which is all that is needed. Besides the staff member that helped us with our bags when we arrived and left, the service was generally poor. Our shower head was broken on arrival and we told reception numerous times however this was not fixed during our 4 night stay. Also some of the staff were just rude when simple questions were asked. Overall we enjoyed the stay here mainly for the views.

Response from Aeifos T, Διευθυντής at Aeifos Traditional Houses
Responded 17 May 2017
Dear sir/madam, Thanks for your comment. I suppose that you stayed to our hotel last year. We apologise but some problems (like the problem with the broken shower head) cannot fixed during the guest's stay but only after the check out. As for the rude members of the staff, you should mention it to the manager. Anyway, we apologise for him/her but we are sure that it was some kind of misunderstanding.
