I just returned from Santorini and spent three nights at the Nemesis Hotel. It's a great location right on the main road into Fira, and about a five minute walk to the bus terminal where you can catch buses to other areas of the island. My room faced the Caldera and it was nice having that view. Even though there's a main road there, the soundproofing was good and so I didn't notice any noise. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff there who made my stay a real joy. They arranged the pickup at the port on my arrival, and a transfer to the airport on my departure. They happily answered all my questions and offered a couple great restaurant suggestions, and also took care of booking a wonderful half day Catamaran trip around the island which I also recommend. The breakfast selection was more than adequate.

Very modest but pretentious hotel. The price of 135 euros per night without breakfast (with breakfast the price rises to 150 per night) is really scandalous when you consider the following: 1) The hotel is outside Fira positioned on a busy road. 2) It has no sea view either on the front or on the back contrary to what was said. Perfect gem in santorini. This hotel is amazing. The staff as so very helpful, the rooms are cleaned daily if you want them to be. The breakfast is cooked fresh (eggs daily made in different ways) you also get fruit, Greek yoghurt, cereals, hams and cheeses, tomatoes and cucumber. It’s a 2-3 minute walk to the nearest shop, 5 mins to the bus station which takes you all over the island and 7-8 mins into the centre of town. I booked the deluxe suite (room 8) and it was a fantastic size. The view over the caldera is breathtaking. This hotel will always hold a special place in our hearts as I proposed at sunset on the balcony. (She said yes) For the price I feel you get a whole lot of plus’s with this hotel. I have stayed in many hotels but have never felt so welcome as in this hotel. It is run by brother and sister who provide the best service possible. De location is great; steps away from the centre of Fira and the bus station. Busses go from there to other towns like Oia. Whenever I return to Santorini, this will be the place where I will stay!
