I am not from the area but stayed a week here March 2017. It was super clean, updated and I loved that there was a bar/restaurant downstairs. I did not have to leave for dinner if I did not want to. The people that worked there were so friendly and considerate. I would definitely stay again if back in the...

Usually a solidly good place to stay on business trips. I have stayed here about a half dozen times on business trips and usually have no complaints. On my last trip the elevator broke down and was out for at least the two days I was there. Dragging my bag down the stairs was a total drag. When I complained...

Been a year since I stayed here. They have done a few updates in the lobby bistro area, main halls have new carpet, place looked good. My room was clean, and typically appointed for Courtyards. Bit disappointed by some weak snow clear out in the parking lot. The greeting at the front desk was fantastic. Don't hesitate!!

Exactly what you would expect at a Courtyard. I have stayed here a few times and it's reasonable for a business trip. It has all the basic amenities but not much above that. The bistro has limited hours. Some of the rooms could use some updating. In my current room, some of the walls were dirty, stains on the floor....

Dear Carrie B, I was disappointed to learn that your stay wasn't excellent. In the future, please notify us immediately if you find your accommodations not up par so that we can correct any issues going forward. We don't care how "violently" you might sleep, those sheets are meant to stay secure on your bed so we will review with...

Courtyard has ensconced itself inside a business park mostly catering to business and professional guests. The hotel wears a homogenous pattern of white and grey shades across its floors, rooms and aisles with the sole exception of reception and open restaurant wearing a more cheery and colorful look. The check in was quite fast after which it can get a...

We travel through Rochester quite often and almost always stay in a Hampton Inn. A friend urged me to try the Courtyard this time. Big mistake. Nothing was terrible, BUT - it was much more expensive, for no reason that I could see - no extra amenities, for example. They did not offer a free breakfast, as most of this...

Dear grandma1601, Thank you for sharing your experience with the tripadvisor community. I apologize that your stay wasn't up to your expectations. Hampton Inn and Courtyard by Marriott are both great brands that appeal to different travelers. As you stated, Hampton Inn provides a complimentary breakfast while Courtyard features the Bistro which offers freshly prepared foods, Starbuck coffees and dinner...

A very well maintained and attractive facility with what appears to be recently renovated rooms and public areas. Comfortable bedding and seating along with a desk suitable for getting work done. A convenient location near shopping and restaurants. Rooms do lack an in-room safe but all around a positive experience.

Room was very comfortable and beds, bedding very nice. Front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. We were just passing through so did not spend much time there. There was a very nice restaurant nearby.

The lobby was nice enough. I think they just remodeled and there were plenty of nice areas to sit and have a drink. The bar itself was really small and probably only sat 4 people but you could grab a drink and sit in one of the seating areas. The rooms were pretty small but I love the oversized chair...

I stayed here because the location is near where I need to go for work but the hotel is in need of remodeling and a little tender love and care. I noticed that the carpet is old and smell bad. The outside is not well taken care...$175 per night I would expect better conditions.

JeffShutt, General Manager at Courtyard Rochester Brighton, responded to this review

Dear Carmen, We apologize that you didn't find the accommodations to your liking. We just completed a lobby renovation that we think looks terrific. Although an older design, the exterior of the building features outdoor balconies and sliding glass doors that allow our guests ample amounts of fresh air that you don't usually find in newer properties. We invite you...
