It is worth the drive to this campgrounds, the open area's are perfect for family reunions, and groups. The sites are generous in size, mostly flat and easy to park your camper. We walk every morning to the lake, the views are gorgeous. A short drive into Geneva and you will find a treasure trove of antique shops, restaurants, and... More

The sites were very nice and spacious, especially along the lake shore It was very quiet as we went during the week. The entrance road, however, was very bumpy. The Navy and Air Force military museum was nice.

This state park is not just for camping. There are trails and space for walking, hiking, biking and even hunting allowed in the park in season. The beach area is small but clean with a dock during the summer months. There is plenty of parking all around and ample space for trailers, RV's and slips for boats. The waterfront is... More

We stayed in Loop 5 with a great view of the lake! Each site had a decent size gravel driveway and a fair amount of grass to spread out in. Each was equipped with a fire pit that had a grill grate. There was one centrally located bathroom in the loop - several toilet stalls, two shoer stalls with hot/cold... More

This lake has amazing view and cleanest water in any river I have seen. Plan for night out I guess they allow that. Its great place for couple and is quite romantic also. There is a lot of good play area for kids and and place to swim

This review is posted so that hopefully someone within the park administration with the authority to make decisions reads it and finally takes some definitive action to correct the following problem. This is an absolutely wonderful place and I always stay in one of the 7 cabins. Of those, I have stayed in cabin 3 and Cabin 1 multiple times.... More

It was a very spacious campground. Outer loop sites are very spread out. That being said, make sure you have enough power cables. We had to go buy one for us and one for our friends. Inner loop would not be as bad. Water for our site was 180 feet away. Fill up at the dump site first. There is... More

My family and I wanted to camp near Ithica but every site was booked. We drove to Sampson, and despite the lack of tree cover, found the campground to be peaceful and breezy. Also beautiful views all day and amazing sunsets. We chose to camp at the top of the hill. It was great for the kids, who had a... More

Overall the park is nice and the lake is pretty clean except for some seaweed toward shore. **Be very wary of the cabins!! Last summer Cabin 6 was infested with carpenter ants and this year (8/19/16) Cabin 1 has roaches! I will never stay in a cabin again!! The bathrooms are pretty clean except for spiders but it's camping so... More

Nice Place... roads are in rough shape so difficult at times for my kids to ride their bikes. Also the beach is nothing special, mostly little rocks and a lot of sea weed, but it does the trick. The sites are very large, but there is not much privacy. Each loop has a bathhouse and they are very clean. The... More
