The Point is a world apart. A Private, adult only, Adirondack estate on the edge of a shining mountain lake. A Great Camp of the Great North Woods, built by William Avery Rockefeller a century ago as his family’s private home. Today The Point is a resort like no other, a magnificent log retreat full of priceless art and fine antiques, where guests gather as the high society of the Gilded Ages once did at vibrant house parties deep in the forest. As a guest of The Point, the secluded, 75-acre property is yours, the days unfold at your leisure, and the staff anticipates your every need. Each meal is an event, each day an adventure, each night a celebration. It is simple, splendid, authentic. It is a perfect place.

It's a magical place that doesn't exist anywhere else I've been. Don't look at the price and compare it to other resorts because others don't exist like this. We were there for a weekend. We arrived Friday and cold champagne waiting- was beautiful day had a great welcome lunch

Staying with The Point is a magical experience. And I say “with” instead of “at” The Point. If it’s your first time, you’re welcomed as warmly as if you go every year. It’s one of those “once in a lifetime” vacations that you can never get enough of. Many other reviews give

All inclusive. Anything extra (typically extra: like calling in a masseuse, an off-site trip to somewhere, a physician) would be made clear; everything on-site is included and, relevantly/importantly, also encouraged; e.g. boat use, late night dining, any & all drinks, requests for in-room deliveries, etc.(BTW, you probably won’t need to ask, they’ll guess and start delivering things:) This really is a perfecred hotel-residential experience (you pay for it but it’s 180% worth it:))

Dear cjmorton, Thank you for reaching out. Trappers is actually one of our more popular rooms and is usually one of the first to book. Sometimes luck plays a role and a room opens up. This happens to all of our rooms, including the Boathouse. Trappers was designed by Ralph Lauren when it was refurbished and one of my personal favorites. We would be happy to explain the layout and overall feel of the room if you would like to call. We hope to see you soon. Sincerely, Cameron

Dear Mr. Carter, What an honor and pleasure to have your notes here. We speak of you often and are of course thrilled at your decision to create this amazing experience for everyone to enjoy. If you would be willing to, we would love to connect with you at some point to perhaps get some information and give you some information as to where The Point is today. Thank you again for your note. Sincerely, Cameron
