This review is sadly overdue. We stayed here not too long after Fred took over this property. The weekend we stayed here, we were the only guests in the house. It was an amazing stay and I look forward to coming back to Saranac to stay here once summer is back. Fred was an amazing host giving us a background...

We stayed in this wonderful Bed and Breakfast the past two nights and loved it. All the details of this historic Cure Cottage in the heart of Saranac Lake have been lovingly preserved. We loved just walking around the property admiring all the beauty of this magestic home. The owner, Frederick Mazzeo was welcoming and gracious from the moment we...

IThe Porcupine Inn is beautiful and historic, and Fred is the quintessential inn keeper! Excellent chef, gracious and welcoming. The Charles Room is massive and comfortable, complete with a "cure porch" to catch some fresh air. Such a beautiful part of the country to visit too, no matter the time of year. Tons of outdoor activities, scenic views, and charming...

We visited Saranac Lake in mid-October for our anniversary. The Inn is charming and quirky and Fred shared a bottle of Champagne with us on arrival. You'll love exploring the decor and the grounds of the Porcupine, and it is a short, pleasant walk from downtown Saranac Lake. We enjoyed our visit so much that we plan on returning as...

He's had proper chef training and personally cooks and serves breakfast every morning in the most charming dining room I've ever seen. You can really tell that he loves what he's doing and...

We were delighted when our friend and fellow artist Sandra recomended that we stay with Fred at the Porcupine Inn in Saranac lake. Little did we know that those few days we stayed there would be some of the most memorable we have experienced traveling. We arrived to a charming mansion in the Adirondack camp style that is truly luxurious....

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the lovely Porcupine Inn on or short mini vacation to the Saranac Lake area. This was our first stay at a B&B and it was a pleasurable experience in deed. The inn itself is very welcoming, beautiful and tastefully decorated. Fred the owner is truly a hospitable host. We stayed in the...

What a beautiful fun, in the process of being lovingly re-created as a b&b by the owner, Fred. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood. The bed was fabulous, and breakfast divine. The amazing home is craftsman style architecture, with stunning woodwork. The lighting is authentic to the period, which is lovely but makes it very hard to read in the room....

The Porcupine Inn is a charming, historic B&B just minutes from Main Street in Saranac Lake. The owner, Fred, is a gregarious host. He caters to all your needs and is willing to share his vast knowledge of the history of the Porcupine Inn as well other notable historic homes in the area. His love of art and antiques is...
