My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay in the Eagle room. We enjoy staying in B&Bs for the warm hospitality and conversation with the keepers and the guests and Kiwassa definitely fit right in there. Margie, Cliff, and Doug were wonderful hosts and we really enjoyed our morning ( and evening) conversations with them. They served...

Just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay. We were looking for a place near Lake Placid..but not in town. After my wife found this, I looked on a satellite image and knew it's location was just what we were looking for....a sense of being far away, being able to put our kayak right in the water and explore all...

Hubby and I stayed 4 nights at Kiwassa Lake B&B, in the Pike Room. Great view from the room which includes a huge picture window and a small private balcony both of which overlook the lake. Room is spacicious with ample closets and room to spread out. I found the bed and pillows to be a bit too firm for...

This is a good, solid B&B with an incredible view. The breakfast was good, very friendly hosts, excellent attention to special dietary needs (went out of their way to accommodate a gluten-free diet). It's out of the way - need to drive 5-10 minutes to get into town; nothing in walking distance. But don't kid yourself, you're paying for the...

I have stayed at B&Bs for 15+ years and I have never had worse service. We stayed in the Moose Room for three nights. Here's the good - - location, location, location - Kiwassa lake is beautiful and guests have full use of their kayaks and canoes and fantastic hammock. Here's the bad and ugly - - the service was...

We are very sorry to hear you were unsatisfied with your stay at Kiwassa Lake Bed & Breakfast. We remember you and enjoyed discussing our mutual interest in planes and introducing you to our rock climbing enthusiast friend. As a traditional B&B, guests stay in our home and only our rooms are private/guest-only spaces. When not preparing breakfasts for our...

My wife and I spent three relaxing nights at Kiwassa Lake B&B. Our room was clean, comfortable, and well decorated, and had a superb view of the tree-lined lake. We enjoyed waking up to the call of the loons, followed by a delicious breakfast prepared by the friendly Cochran family, who also provided the canoe we used for exploring and...

Thank you for your review, Charles. We really enjoyed the conversations about the Natural History Museum, Mexico and, of course, synergies between Doug and your son. Thanks for letting us get to know you - we'd welcome you back any time.

My husband and I stayed at Kiwassa Lake bed and breakfast for a quick weekend trip and had a great time. Beautiful home and property tucked back in the woods on the lake. It was very relaxing. We stayed in the Moose Room which was huge with lake views! I was very impressed. If you go, be sure to take...

We state at the Kiwassa Lake B&B this past weekend. The place is beautiful and decorated wonderfully. We stayed in the Moose room which was more than big enough for the two of us. Marjorie went above and beyond for breakfast. As I have celiac disease I am unable to eat anything with Gluten in it. Marjorie made sure we...

We stayed at the Kiwassa Lake B&B this past week and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, rustic, clean and in great shape (unlike many aging b&bs and hotels in the Adirondacks). The room we stayed in the, the Eagle room, has lots of windows with a great view of the lake (which was covered in snow). The...
