Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

The tranquil garden with hammocks in the trees, a river running through with pools to swim in and swimming pool, badminton and boules was the hit for our family. There were also plenty of other fun activities in the area (great Parcours & zip lines at Aquarock), River-rafting on the Ardeche river, bouldering and many walks and exploring the interesting ice cream flavors at the ice cream factory.

The accommodation is in a beautifully restored old silk-mill with 3 gites . The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped for real cooking 😄There are also a good selection of restaurants in the area a short drive away. Each gite has a private patio with grill and garden furniture - perfect for outdoor meals. Everything was clean and well maintained.

The hosts, Irene and Graham are very welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay great. We will definitely be returning again.

A little piece of paradise in the Ardèche. The cottage is located at the foot of a river and is very well appointed and equipped. In addition there are several spaces: swing, swimming pool, boules court,... The hosts, Irene and Graham, are very welcoming and discreet.

Irene & her husband Graham (The Owner's) make this place a very special to visit. They really look after you and make you feel very welcome. They couldn't have done more to make us feel more welcome. Las Ras, as they call it, is a jewel in the Ardeche. A lucky find, if you discover it. Many of their visitor's return year after year. There is plenty of things to see and do nearby to keep The Family Interested. The food and wine in The Ardeche are as good as you will find in the Dordoyne, or Bordeaux, or Provence. We loved it all. Worth a visit, if you like rural France. The Canoeing and the Cycling down the old railway line are must do's if you visit. Or, you can just relax by their stream for the day, in a hammock, with a beer. G

Lovely location and characterful building. Great local restaurants and property is right on the river, excellent for family holiday with activities (walking, kayaking, cycling) close by. Top Tip ... try and persuade the ultra-friendly hosts Graham and Irene to give you a BBQ lesson - South African style!

The property is a massive 1,000m+ old Silk Factory offices that oozes history. It's about 1km away from the nearest village along a quiet country road. the property iteslf is beside a river that's big enough for a plunge - or even a paddle in one of the kayaks - and there's a swimming pool on site as well. The owners are very friendly. On site there's a Petanque Court, Hammocks and badminton - so a perfect place for a family holiday. Walks in the sorrounding hills are spectacular. And if you're feeling advenurous - a paddle down the Ardeche is close to hand

La Rastelayre is a great spot to soak up everything France has to offer. The location is beautiful on a small river perfect for chilling in the sun or - if you are brave - swimming in the pools. Graham and Irene are very accommodating and can recommend many great activities, places to visit and good food. Canoeing down the Ardeche was a real highlight.
