If you are in the Hudson Valley at a busy time, you must prepare well ahead to stay in one of the few rooms (9 or so) at this charming, quirky, and eclectic hotel. I have stayed here 3 times now, a different room each time. Again, if it's a big parent weekend at Bard College nearby or New Year's...

I loved it as soon as I saw photos of the renovations done by the owners/artists. It was just gorgeous in person and I absolutely loved the simplicity of it all. The room I was staying in faced the street and was on top of the restaurant but because it was a corner room, there was so much light that...

Every year my husband and I travel to the Hudson River Valley for a few days in August after visiting New York. We've never had a special place to stay until now. We LOVED staying at Hotel Tivoli. It's not for everyone....it's not a large five star hotel.....it's small...I think there are 11 rooms. We booked Room 10 which was...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel - which felt very much like a boutique hotel. We were here for two nights in the external suite (which has a separate entrance). They accommodate dogs! And the restaurant and outdoor dining was amazing!

Simple room, very minimal and overall very expensive for what it is. The saving grace are the lovely staff. I felt the location is a bit off the main path. We were told it was a 15 minute drive to Hudson when in fact it is 30 minutes. Makes dinning and drinks in Hudson a risky adventure without a driver/Uber.

I never thought of staying in the Hudson Valley area. I've always thought of it as a day trip type of destination, one where one goes and explores the shops and restaurants at Hudson. However we decided to spend a night at Hotel Tivoli and were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience. The hotel is very well put together. The...

We recently read about this property owned by the artists Brice and Helen Marden. Wanted to stay overnight in the Hudson Valley close enough to great restaurants and shopping in Hudson, NY. We really loved this place -- from the unique and interesting ways that each of the rooms come to life -- through great artwork (of course), rugs, furniture...

I stayed for one night w a friend and the hotel is lovely. The art and furniture are the standouts. Went to the restaurant for dinner and it was v good (apple & cauliflower soup and Moroccan chicken). The town itself is tiny but quaint. Only complaint was heater in the room ran crazy hot and we couldn't shut it...

I'm not sure what has happened here. We have been here multiple times and the caliber of employees seemed to have dropped. No one is in uniform, or at least some uniform standard, and although super friendly, not exactly the most intelligent conversationalists. The girl that presents herself as a manager (?) is a bit cold and full of attitude....

The first thing is that the rooms are much too noisy, you can perfectly follow everything your neighbors are doing in the room next to yours: we could hear every word they spoke. The AC is functioning but it is so loud that you cannot really sleep. Only plus: it is very clean, but many things in the room do...
