Very friendly owner. Rooms are very clean and spacious. Conveniently located to the main area of Tupper Lake. Room includes a refrigerator and TV. Would definitely return to this Motel on our next visit.

The owner was very nice. The rooms were nice sized. Everything was clean except for lots of dead critters in the window sills. Some of the outlets did not work and we had to unplug the TV to plug in the refrigerator. It could use more working plugs in the room and better lighting. Two of the people in my...

Musty, substandard with one light bulb in the bedroom, holes in the flooring, and a trickle of water from the shower. No air conditioning or fans, stained upholstery. Linens stretched across old hard mattress (no pad or cover). Keep driving. Don't trust the photos.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for the weekend and we had a great time! The room was nice and clean and the owners could not have been more helpful. They pointed out good local hiking spots and made an effort to help us enjoy our stay.

Our family has been staying at the Timber Lodge for years. Before and after the renovation of the rooms. Before the renovation some of the rooms were not up to par, but we were a big family that needed lots of rooms and we couldn't beat the price. Now with the renovations complete the Apts. have room enough for families...

Adorable old fashioned motel in a not so touristy lake town. The motel had a "grandma's house" feel to it. With cozy wooden front porch and wooden log themed furniture. The owner was friendly and genuine and the price was reasonable. For the nature lovers...The motel had a slight lake view from a handful of spots on the second floor...

Our host Don is very nice. But Timber Lodge in Tupper Lake makes the Bates Motel look like the Ritz Carlton! Smelly, musty, and truly grim. We spent as little time as we could in the room. Not at all as pictured on their website.

We came to the Timber Lodge on very short notice and no reservation and the owner/manager was so helpful. We had a problem at our previous place we were supposed to stay and were left with no place to go. We had 100 dollars of groceries and he let us use a full size fridge in order to save the...

We have stayed in Timber Lodge motel in August 2011 during hurricaine Irene and were impressed by nice welcoming atmosphere during our stay. Due to the situation on the roads we had to stay one extra day and the owners, Don and Karen, took good care of us and made sure we felt like home. They are very nice people...

This motel is filthy inside and out. The ripped sofa outside one of the first floor units should be a tip-off of what to expect. I can deal with no-frills accommodations. I can also deal with threadbare towels and comforters. I cannot deal with the copious amount of dust and dead flies on the baseboard heaters which I found while...
