We enjoyed our stay very much, mostly due to the kindness and hospitality of the hotel staff. They all made sure that we were comfortable and having an enjoyable time throughout. The food was delicious and we were very impressed with the effort made for the special vegetarian meals. The entertainment was high energy and the activities during the day...

Peninsula Bay ( formerly Blue Lagoon Hotel ) is a very nice 3 star hotel on the south east coast of Mauritius. Buffet breakfast has plenty of choice. However, restaurant requires an uplift . Service staff very polite and welcoming.

This hotel, run by five brothers, is obviously about letting it's premises and facilities rot and decay as it capitalizes on the quick cash of customers looking for cheap All Inclusive Mauritian holidays. Lounge chairs are stolen from others, a fight occurred poolside, public toilets were filled with excrement, etc., etc,. Chefs will not accommodate special requests, boats don't travel...

We came to the hotel and it wa looking just fine, we were welcomed by a drink in th reception. After this it all got worse, the beach is full of stray dogs and local people running around on the beach. The rooms were dirty, and the toilets were disgusting. The pool isn't clean in any way, alot of loud...

We had a wonderful time with our children who are studying in Mauritius. The downside to the hotel is that it is close to the airport and on the flight path. Hence it is very noisy. The other strange thing for me was the almost open plan toilet. Awkward. The staff are friendly. Meals were more than adequate. Decor is...

Where do we start? 1. Extremely loud music, goes on until late and there is no chance of an early night after a long flight or any other night for that matter. 2. Some staff very rude and dismissive (not all the staff through!). 3. French entertainment only which is fine, but the the entertainers themselves were very rude to...

I visited La Peninsula during Feb/March this year and was greeted by warm welcoming people with a cooling Buck fizz. I had emailed the hotel a couple of days earlier to request a pool/beach view which was exactly what I got. As a solo traveller the hotel personnel looked after me extremely well especially Ravindranath and Kevin. The bar staff...
