We arrived late at night and we we're lucky to find a room here. Siad (saeed) greeted us. We were happy to be somewhere and the room seemed nice enough although extremely cold. We were made tea and it seemed very nice and pleasant at first. We enquired about hiring mountain bikes to be taken up to the refuge so... More

I stayed at the Imlil Refuge after a three day trekking expedition up the Azzadene Valley and then across to the Asni valley via the Aguelzum Ridge. Our local guide's family own the refuge and also own a second refuge in the next village, so you really do get a local welcome as the family are berbers and represent the... More

Follow the red signs from the bottom of Imlil's main street to a refuge indeed: a perfect place to rest and take in the essence of the town, near the river and heart of Imlil. Perhaps the first thing you'll notice is the friendly staff upon your arrival. Sayed, Mohammed, and the other employees go out of their way to... More

We stayed here during our visit in the atlas mountains. Sayed is a really cool and funny guy and he knows his way around the trails and pointed us to the right direction. He is also very proud of you if you make the summit :) Its better if you have a sleeping bag because the beds don't have sheets,... More

We stayed here on more than one occasion during our stay in the Atlas Mountains, and we always received a warm welcome from Syed, and delicious food too! He gave great advice about the surrounding area and helped us sort out kit in Imlil. Perfect place to stay for a few nights, and a great starting point for treks.

Very nice staff, extremely welcoming and helpful, they will offer you a tea "the berber whisky" at any time of the day. They will help you planning your trekkings in the area and can arrange any kind of activity or trip. Good breakfast with beautiful views to the mountains.

A jewel in the crown of the Atlas mountains. The Imlil Refuge is very comfortable with clean rooms, comfy beds & blankets & clean showers and toilets. I think the place is only 8 months old. Said, who runs the place is really helpful & an asset to the place. The two nights we stayed there he lit a fire... More

Syed is a great staff of Imlil Refuge. He speaks good English and prepared fire and dinner to us. Near to the town and affordable room rates. Clean rooms and thick blankets provided. For sure, I will sure back soon.

This is a great place to stay and I would definitely stay here again! It's in a great location to climb Toukbal or try other, less challenging walks. The owner, Mohammed is very friendly and helpful and I would ignore the negative review about him from July 2010 because he was excellent to us. We found his English to be... More
