Stayed for lunch at the Kasbar du Toubkal whilst on a one day trek in the High Atlas Mountains.  Excellent 3 course lunch. Sat on a table on the balcony having lunch with superb views of the High Atlas Mountains covered in snow, the valley’s and remote villages. Meal was expensive 300 Dh each but the views are superb. this was the perfect getaway spot for my husband and I. The food is bountiful and absolutely delicious--they certainly uphold the Berber culture. The hotel prioritizes giving back to the local community, as they charge guests 5% to support their cause. The room and main building stayed warm despite the winter cold outside. The wifi is definitely spotty, but you... More

Thanks Amanda for your generous and informative review. We have noted the "decaf" and will see where it went and replace. The complementary Residents Walks are always very informative and give a great insight to the Berber lifestyle which does in the mountains involve a lot of walking. Please do come back and see us again. warm regards c More

We stayed at this hotel for one night while working in Marrakech and had a fantastic visit. The guides are awesome. They have a range of great hikes. The food was delicious (dinner and breakfast are served in an awesome dining room in the main building and both were fantastic) and they bring your bags to the hotel via mules!... More

Stayed for 3 nights and was lovely. The views are to die for and you could never tire of looking out to the mountain. Mule takes luggage for you whilst you take a slow walk for 15mins up hill. Tough going at first given the altitude, but if i can do it anyone can. Stayed in deluxe room which had... More

Kasbab bab toukal is surrounded by breathtaking beauty. In November the autumnal colors were magical against the snow capped peaks. Sure it's pricey but the service you get is top class. Dinner was very tasty. We got everything we wanted. The introductory walks are really good too. My only recommendation to the hotel would be for staff to be a... More

We travelled with another family and all the kids enjoyed the hiking and adventure of it all! This was our second stay here and this time we also stayed in their mountain lodge Azzendan as well - a welcome rest stop after a long day! Our guide was fabulous - really chatted about culture and festivals and was very attentive... More

We spent three nights here at the end of October, and went on 2 hikes. I loved every minute of the experience, from arriving on foot (20 minutes uphill) with a mule taking our luggage, to the early morning prayer calls right next door. Very comfortable room, bathroom with bathtub, plentiful breakfast and tasty dinner. The guests are a mix... More

The Kasbah de Toubkal is unique. Stayed 2 nights and hiked 12 km with a guide, muleteer and a cook who prepared our lunch out in the middle of nowhere. What an amazing experience - probably my favourite place in Morocco. The rooms are rustic, so don't expect 5 star but clean and very comfortable. Rates are all inclusive, so... More

This was a strange experience. The location and atmosphere of the Kasbah are great. The mules take up you suitcase and you hike 20 min along side. But then you have paid $200 + per night in this country and that normally gets you 5 star plus. So one can expect something but the whole place is very run down.... More

The Kasbah Du Toubkal is a very special place - on the National Geographic list of the 22 most unique inns in the world. A well deserved recommendation!
