After eight hours of driving from the Sahara and a twenty minute climb with donkey from village of Imlil, you come to this extraordinary eco-travel lodge. Beautiful rooms and restoration, very good food, attentive service, close ties to local Berber community, plus the High Atlas Mountains for a calming experience or a slow hike or serious trekking. If you can...

There are lots of fantastic things to say about this location, the hotel's ethos and it's history - but you can read those on the hotel website. It might be worthwhile adding a touch of reality to the reviews here. The hotel is indeed special but be very clear - this is emphatically NOT a luxury hotel - and it...

Stayed at the Kasbah for 4 nights. This was a wonderful experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the area. We stayed on the top floor of the 3 storey tower within the gounds of the Kasbah and had a small roof terrace above us with glorious views of the mountains including Toubkal. The staff were wonderful people and their...

This was an amazing place! You felt like you were on the top of the world on the rooftop. Beautiful views and a beautiful retreat away from everything. Very friendly staff, great service. Next time we will go for longer and do some trekking. Thank you, Around Morocco Tours for booking us in this special place.

Stayed here with friends post trekking and found it to be a great place to stay. Obviuosly the location and look of the place is special, but this was supplemented with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and the cleanliness throughout. The meals were also superb! Fantastic, would go back in a second.

We stayed in Berber Salon, standard and deluxe rooms and all were fine (actually the deluxe were a lot better than fine). We went on overnight treks to the Lodge (which is also beautiful) and to a Berber Village staying in a gite (not luxury, but a great experience). The Kasbah itself is pretty gobsmacking and the views of mountains...

Stayed 2 nights during our trip in the Atlas. Had a room in the tower across the yard from the main building. Really loved it. Room was cosy, pleasant and spacious. Dinner and breakfast was great. Staff were friendly and helpful. Only thing I would say is that it is an expensive place to stay. Though I support their model...

We booked this kasbah with high expectations but I couldn't wait to leave and wish I'd not booked 4 nights there. The location is spectacular as is the structure of the building but inside the place was shabby and not very clean. The service was pretty rude most of the time with little more than grunts and food being thrown...

Quite possibly the best place I've ever stayed. Genuinely hospitable staff, gorgeous views (mountains by day; stars at night), attention to detail and the guest's comfort, charming rooms, excellent meals, and conducive to interacting with interesting fellow travelers. Multiple hiking options for all levels are available and the local people couldn't be friendlier. And it's easy: only an hour-drive from...

My wife and I have just returned from a weeklong trip to Marrakech and finished our stay at the fabulous Kasbah du Toubkal in the Atlas Mountains, which was a welcome relief from the heat of the plain. This was our third stay at the Kasbah and there is no doubt that it just keeps getting better! The location is...
