Elisabeth and her team have thought of everything you could possibly want at this gem of a beach side hotel. Attention to detail and service was amazing. An utter haven for us on our overland journey where we could really relax. Staff are friendly and helpful. Great food, beautiful rooms, great hammocks and spots to rest. Best beach hotel we... More

We stayed at the Tama lodge for four nights. Coming here from busy Dakar was like coming to another planet. Elizabeth and her super friendly staff made our stay very nice. Very attentive and professional in all respect. The “hut” number 1 was spacious, modern and very clean. The Tama lodge offers a lovely breakfast and a three course lunch... More

Everything about this hotel is first class and not a single detail is missed. Staff makes sure your beach chair is clean and your towel neatly folded when you come back from taking a break to swim. Leave your sandals thrown in front of your door and they'll be neatly placed when you come back. Ask to break up a... More

Tama lodge is as good as it gets in Senegal and one of the very best small hotels in West Africa. We have visited about 10-15 resorts in Senegal and Tama Lodge is our favorite. The lodge really shines in three areas: customer service/attention to detail, local flavor, and the food. It was established about 11 years ago and the... More

My friend Angelica and I recently stayed for 4 nights in one of Tama Lodge's beach cabins, and it was a blissful experience from start to finish. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive to one's every need; we were especially impressed with the attention to detail. We loved getting to know Aminata, Marie Louise, and the whole cast of... What a perfect place to stay. 6 nights, not one single moment we did regret our stay. Perfect location, right on the beach (with the local culture right in front of you), great and very friendly staff, fantastic food (breakfast could have a little uplift....need to ask, and pay, for some cheese...), fantastic beach cabin, great service (no question was... We really had a wonderful 2night stay at Tama! The authentic decor and friendly, welcoming staff made us feel right at home. It's really not hard absolutely adoring them (especially Aminata,Mari-Louise and caring guy who so quietly moved around late afternoon lighting all the lanterns💡) Dinner was absolutely amazing, we couldn't get enough! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
In the heart on Senegal’s “Petite Cote” (the Small Coast), between Mbour’s fishing port and the seaside resort of Saly, the Tama Lodge preserves authenticity. The cabins are made of local materials, built on the sand of one of most beautiful beaches in the country, in a nest of greenery. In every one of the nine rooms, inspired from colours of Africa, with simplicity and elegance, you will find pieces of traditional handcraft : Kuba fabric from Congo, bed covers made of Mali’s bogolan, Touareg tent stakes, mortars and pestles… The whole lodge is full of charms of Africa, and offers, in its original setting, an exotic, mild and relaxing break. ... more   less
