Large, comfortable en suite rooms with a shared, well-equipped kitchen. You decide the level of activity that suits you: this place is perfect if you feel like doing absolutely nothing, but also offers enough activities to easily fill a long weekend. Watch a friendly polo match, go horse riding, hike to the nearby caves or take along your bicycles --...

Having been to several polo boot camps before this is by far the best on each of the following counts: quality of tuition; quality of food; quality of accommodation; the beauty and tranquility of the location; and the charm, friendliness and kindness of the people lead by the hosts Christian and Tracy. We based our trip around improving our polo...

For a relative newcomer to Polo, Franshoek Polo School offered invaluable guidance and highly tailored lessons that instantly gave me more confidence! Rod is a fantastic teacher and keeps the lessons both fun and challenging! You can't beat the beautiful setting and Tracey and Christian were great hosts, with homemade meals to look forward to...not to mention packed picnic lunches...

I had the good fortune to spend over 1 week at Franshoek.. The accommodation was unique and very comfortable, the hosts charming and attentive and the coach, Rod, outstanding. I was looking for a new polo experience and now, having had polo farms stays on every continent, I can say that Franshoek was equal to them all. Foremost it was...

Room and amenities: The rooms are ideal for the Summer and I visited in Winter. However, the hosts - Tracey and Christian, made every effort to make sure that I was warm enough. They provided an electric blanket, hot water bottles, a heater and many blankets so I managed to survive the icy night temperatures which miraculously transformed into gorgeous...

“The two rooms at the stables are fantastic and really well located in the centre of everything that is going on. The Crystal Mountain Retreat offers a good alternative with great views just a few minutes away. The Rondoval also has its own charms but is slightly secluded. The Lodge is a good alternative if you want a little separation from the polo and more hands on service.”
