This hidden gem should not be missed. It was less luxurious than our other camps but especially memorable. The food was fantastic-thank you Simon for the wonderful celery. leek and pumpkin soups! The showers are on request but hot water arrives promptly and is more than adequate. The thermal springs attract huge numbers of birds-flamingo, yellow-billed stork, white pelican and...

We were set up right next to the Lake Manyara, the view was spectacular. Flamingos covered the lake, and elephants stomped around right behind our tents. This is camping with hard wood floors. The food is wonderful, and we were even graced with a dance from the staff on our last day, and a song in Swahili.

Lemala is a basic, traditional camping experience. A small camp with excellent, friendly service. The tent was basic but comfortable. The shower was a little tricky with a bit of a slant in the woooden floor. The beds were comfortable. If you want to get away from "glamping" then this is the place for you! Nice view.

The Lemala Manyara is an outstanding tent camp in which to stay. We stayed two days and wished we could have stayed longer. We were met with a damp washcloth and a glass of juice upon arrival. Check-in was done sitting on a couch by John. Isaac then took us to our tent (5), a short walk from the dinning/lounge/reception...
