I spent just one night in this hotel. The room was nice, well equipped and beautiful. I enjoyed very much the sunset over Zanzibar from the terrace. For this only is worth staying in Marumaru, Friendly staff as always in Zanzibar.

The hotel is nicely located in the old stone town which makes for a great adventure-going around the small streets and interacting with the locals is a fulfilling experience. The staff are very friendly and make the stay comfortable. The hotel is just next to Forodhani, a beachfront next to the port, where one can sit and have a cooling...

Excellent stay in the heart of stone town. The rooms and all areas are very clean, well kept and maintained. Staff are friendly- typical of Zanzibar and the highlight is the delightful food with a wide range of wines at the rooftop restaurant with an excellent panoramic view of the Stone Town. From the hotel seafront called Forodhani,House of Wonders...

Second time at Maru Maru. Nice and clean rooms and very friendly Staff. Good location and i would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Good breakfast which would be more enjoyable without surrounding Lounge music.

The rooms are roomy and comfortable. With a rooftop bar from which to view the sunset and relax with a nice cool drink this was...

This is the second time I've stayed at Maru Maru this year, and both times have been a real pleasure. The hotel is perfect located in the heart of Stone Town, with nice, clean and quit rooms, a beautiful roof terrace with ocean view, and friendly and helpful staff.

Ideally located to explore and experience Stone Town, but not be in the heart of the mayhem. We stayed there for our final night in Zanzibar however I have been to Maru Maru to dine several times before. What keeps me going back is the food, the amazing sunsets from the rooftop while sipping a cocktail or two and the...

My sister and I spent several days at Maru Maru hotel and really enjoyed it. It is centrally located in Stone Town, convenient to shopping, must see local attractions, the market, the small beach. The staff, from the front desk, the restaurant to housekeeping goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The roof top restaurant and bar is...
