The Fumba Beach Lodge was marvelous. Beautiful surroundings and lovely beach - at least it's empty and there aren't any other hotels/lodges close by, unlike the north of Zanzibar. The staff were great and could not do enough for you. I loved the relaxed laid back atmosphere. Lovely pool, good diving/snorkeling facilities and very good massage. Ate lobster served at...

Beautiful relaxing place with outstanding African staff! They couldn't be more helpful. Rooms 1-6 are outstanding with private beaches for swimming. Don't expect that you get the rooms that you book. It was very disappointing to find 2 of our rooms had to share the 3rd night due to over booking. This was a special family holiday and we were...

After a rather lengthy induction session we got to our rooms. Nicely appointed with a large bed and ceiling fan. Large bathroom with bath and outdoor shower which was lovely to use. Enjoyed making use of the happy hour (5-6) at the main and dhow bars. Our first evening meal was excellent with slick friendly service on the beach. Wifi...

Were guests at Fumba Beach Lodge at the end of a wonderful twelve-night safari in mainland Tanzania, followed by a two-night stay in Stonetown, great to have ended our trip with three nights in this wonderful lodge. The rooms were excellent, well kept and well appointed. The food was excellent, some spicy, some not. The bar was excellent, with a...

Nice comfortable hotel. The management and staff are great, very friendly and helpful. Food was good and nice to have a table on the beach for dinner. Diving centre was very helpful, trips out were well organised with good guides. Would definitely go back.

Staff absolutely fabulous, resort was perfect for couples or solo. Food was great served by welcoming folks. Resort is in a beautiful secluded part of Zanzibar with a great dive master! Would go again for sure. Absolute class operation from booking to departure.

My flight from Heathrow was delayed 22 hours so I missed my first night at Fumba Beach Lodge. I phoned Edwin to let him know and he made sure that there was someone from Fishermans Tours to meet me at the airport as I had been unable to get through to Fishermans by phone. My luggage was not on the...

What a lovely resort! The setting is beautiful, the staff (including Mag, the manager) could not have been more helpful, and the accommodations are luxurious considering where the resort is located. Several of the rooms have outdoor bathrooms built into a huge baobab tree--quirky but lovely. Warm Indian Ocean water, a beautiful pool, and good food.

About 45 mins drive from stone town lies a dream location that is Fumba lodge. Set In about 40 acres of forest are 26 lodges, well spaced along the coast on the beach, or some just set back in the gardens/forest. There are many little secluded areas, raised platforms, some are in trees, others are low down, level with the...
