I can say no such big deal but also not any disaster. Price were cool before to add the taxes, but still can be ok because of location. The room were spacious and clean, bathroom average - there was no full wall between bath and room so it can be unpleasant. Breakfast was little bit poor and monotone. Staff: some of them verry professional and nice, some of them only when they're tipped. Never forget when i came there how receptionost behive to me, very reluctant. Everything was changed when i let there some more money and i was intrested about the tours from her friend or probably family member - i've got 1overpriced spice tour 👍🏻
Ideally located hotel in Stone Town. I had the 6-bed male dorm all to myself. Good water heater for shower. AC weak, but I was fine with the ceiling fan, better for mosquitoes anyway (nets are there, but I didn't use it and didn't get bit once). Super friendly night desk fellow looking out for you.
We stayed here for 1 night (we are from Dar es salaam) me and my brother room number 25, I have say very friendly staff very neat Room no Noise, i really recommend this hotel, its cheap also and near to everything in stone town and wifi very fast.
Close to the ferry from mainland Tanzania. Karibu Inn is a fine choice if you look for a cheap and good Hostel or guesthouse. 50 meter from the Beach in Stone town. Just Nice People’s and clean Rooms. Ask for room 33 at the top! We stayed for 5 Nights and had a wonderfull time. Lars & Bente from Denmark
Twice the price announced on Booking.com, the person in the reception speak only swahili. He gave us his boss on the phone who explain us in a very approximative english about the taxes, he annouced 9$/person, finally we had to pay 45$ !! So be careful ...
