You can easily spend 3 or more days around Piana, visiting the Calanche, Capu Rossu and Capu d'Ortu, as well as relaxing on the terrace at Giargalo, which has a lovely view over the village. There's a footpath passing directly behind the B&B that leads to a range of walks, so you wouldn't even need to use your car much.... More

Oh, this is such a charming place. We planned to stay here for two nights but did not want to leave so we stayed for another three. On demi pension which I really, really recommend because Madame Solange is such a creative and fantastic cook. And, best of all, everything she serves is organic. Including the wines which was included... More

WOW ! We decided to extend our stay to 10 days & we will be back to experience each season !!! Yes ! We found the relaxing atmosphere we were looking for : a tranquil Bio/Eco Paradise spot with sea & mountains views, in splendid nature with all kind of thrilling hiking trails & historical adventures. We just left after a stay of 3 nights. Solange, the host, made us feel most welcome. It was nice sharing with the other guests food that is fresh, homemade, bio and Solange willing to go the extra effort to make it vegetarian for us. The whole environment, the garden, the view of Piana, the mountains, the proximity of the... More

The location of Giargalo is gorgeous, especially when we arrived, as the sun was setting. We only stayed for one night but Madame Francois was very friendly and spoke French slowly, which was helpful and allowed us to practice. The dinner was the highlight - a multi-course meal at a loooong community table with endless carafes of vin rouge and... More

This a fun, slightly alternative, B&B offering excellent food and friendly hospitality. Our room was a little small and dark, but there were plently of communial spots to spread out. The wine as dinner was unlimited and we had some great chats with fellow guests.

We slept and ate at the Giargalo gite. We were 5 friends hikers. One room for all of us, 45 euros per people, dinner and breakfast inclusive. The pacle is definitely nice, professionnal, but... extremely simple, without any charm. So, if you are a hiker, thats perfect, if you are honeymooner, definitely not! bathroom outside at the bottom and bedrooms... More

The best value for money in this simply spectacular area!! Yes, as the other reviewer says - there are dorm rooms on the ground floor, and you have to use the bathroom down the hall and the showers downstrairs. My wife and i have such one room for 4 all to ourselves for one night - and it was well... More

This gite is found in the lovely village of Piana. It was a rather unusual setup in my opinion, rather like a college dorm as it was a large building with a wide hall on the second and third floors with rooms on each side and the toilet down the hall. The shower stalls were on the bottom floor next... More
