#5 of 36 B&Bs / Inns in St Mary's
Anne Hall welcomes you to Pelistry Cottage. We are situated in the perfect location for exploring Scilly, in the heart of Hugh Town, St. Mary's just a few minutes from its beautiful beaches, restaurants, shops, amenities and the quay where boats depart for the other Islands. We offer well-appointed, double and twin accommodation, all with en-suites. Each room has its own TV/DVD, coffee & tea making facilities, hairdryer & there is a guest fridge available. Please note that despite the "somewhat walkable" status - we are on the flat with the majority of restaurants, 3 beaches and amenities within a few minutes walk. It should read "Very Walkable"!!

Everything about our stay could not have been better. From the first call to discuss a stay, Anne's warmth good humour came through. The cottage is really well positioned close to the beach, port and amenities. Our room felt fresh, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast options were really good and tasted really good. We enjoyed the outside seating for an evening coco and just felt really at home. The atmosphere that Anne creates is so friendly that we had a really nice rapour with the other guests, who were a real spread of ages. I totally understand why there is so much return custom to this lovely B&B. Finally, I'm writing this review in the midst of the COVID pandemic, and must compliment both Anne and all the other businesses on the Scilly Isles for their well planned approach. We always felt very safe.

My partner booked Pelistry Cottage for our stay on St Mary's. Given the current pandemic situation, I really had no expectations and was just grateful we could find somewhere to stay that wasn't our one bedroom flat in London... It turned out to be a really special trip. I was extremely impressed with how well this B&B has dealt with these unprecedented times. All precautions have been taken to ensure guest and host safety but this didn't feel like a chore. Anne is a lovely host and just a nice, genuine person. Her local knowledge was great and came in handy, particularly for a boat trip to Bishop Rock that we otherwise would have been oblivious to. The room was very comfortable and had everything we required. Thanks Anne!

Absolutely fantastic stay at Pelistry Cottage. Anne was so friendly and engaged with all who were staying which created such a nice environment. You couldn’t get a better location, the room was lovely and large, and the bed was super comfortable. Great breakfasts too!!!

Pelistry Cottage is a great place to stay and Anne was a very warm and helpful host. We had a very rough crossing and my wife was very ill on the boat, Anne provided a welcome with tea, a couch to lay on and a washed some clothes that were a little worse for wear - very welcome indeed. The room was good, bed comfortable with a fridge and the customary tea and biscuits tray. The breakfast was really nice and we had time to chat with some very pleasant guests and Anne to get useful information as this was our first visit to the Scillies. The breakfast menu had to be completed the night before and breafast was prompt at 8:30 neither of which caused any issues for us. The location of Pelistry cottage is excellent with easy access to places on the island (Garrisons walk particularly enjoyable) and we liked Atlantic pub and ate there a couple of times, food was good although most restaurants in St Marys seem to have a very similar menu! We did try booking All in all we had a great time even though weather was very changeable, Anne certainly added to the successful stay especially with drying of clothes on the Aga! Would I go back again, definetly and next time we would visit the other islands and heed Anns advice on how to avoid sea sickness.

What a find! The cottage was very well situated in Hugh Town. Anne was very welcoming and full of useful information about things to do and places to eat. We had a twin room which was well presented, very comfortable and spacious with an en-suite, and our own fridge as well as tea, coffee and hot chocolate making facilities with biscuits. There were lots of lovely choices for breakfast, I especially enjoyed the Aga baked porridge. We would definitely stay at Pelistry Cottage again for another holiday!
