This was, I think, our 5th or 6th visit at least going back some 15-20 years. Deb and Brian have run this place for most of those visits and make you feel like old friends when you arrive. The cabins are consistently clean and well looked after and super cosy. The views are magnificent and the surrounding forest is peaceful and beautiful. The kids adore the animal feeding even after a number of visits! its very much the morning ritual if you wish it to be. If not, let them go on their own and chill at the chalet in peace! The place is safe for them to roam (at a certain age) and the hosts look after them during feeding. They might even come back with and egg for brekky. There really is nothing not to like. I have recommended this stay to many friends and all of them fell in love with it. Thanks again BH…

Everything was perfect, from the warm welcome from Deb and Brian to the fully supplied amenities and beautiful little cottage. The views from our cottage were awesome, misty and delightful with the horses by the fence.

My husband and I stayed in the Kimbas cottage for 2 nights at the end of June. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. We really loved snuggling up next to the wood fire and looking out at the beautiful landscape. The view from the lookout was absolutely spectacular - especially at sunrise. The lighting, mist and clarity in the mornings was truly magical! Brian and Deb, the owners, were very accomodating and friendly, and always made us feel very welcome. My husband and I definitely recommend staying at Balingup Heights - we will be back again!

Our family of 5 stayed here for 2 nights. My daughters said that Balingup Heights was the best part of our 11 day trip in WA. They couldn't stop raving about how "Mr Brian and Ms Deb were soooo kind to us". They enjoyed the animal feeding both mornings, and we actually spent an entire afternoon doing all the walking trails in Balingup Heights. The view was lovely, and the Secret Garden was amazing for the kids - so much nature play! The cottage was comfortable and very clean. Deb and Brian had soooo kindly prepared 3 beds for our kids, with a soft toy on each of the beds. Needless to say, the kids were beyond thrilled and just wanted to stay in for the entire stay! On our last morning, there was a rainbow as we sat outdoors in our cottage enjoying our breakfast. it was a perfect end to our trip. We miss Balingup Heights already, and are seriously contemplating returning next year. Highly recommend this place to stay. …

We absolutely loved every aspect of our stay. The cottages were perfect for a family of 4 (and can accommodate an extra child easily too). They were kitted out with everything we needed. There is only a few cottages on the property and they were all a nice distance away from each other, so you mostly felt you had the place to yourself. And what a view!!! It was wet and cold during our stay, and the cottage was easy to warm up either with the fire or the reverse cycle AC. The kids (7yo and 9yo) played endlessly outside, rain or shine, and loved the animal feeding every morning. They also had a ball picking persimmons and chestnuts (and eating them both too)! Balingup itself is a great little town, and you're not far away from many day trips. Lastly, Brian and Deb were amazing hosts. …

We stayed at the Red Gum cottage. The stay was fantastic. The place was well presented with plenty of towels, which is a must for wet autumn weather. The fireplace was ready to be lit up. The views spanning out to the open valley was just incredible. Our son really enjoyed feeding the farm animals in the morning. This place is truly a hidden gem!! Mihiri.

The cottages are well placed throughout the property to give you the peace and tranquility of the bush settings. The view from Blythe cottage was exceptional overlooking the valley below and the north end of Balingup. The cottage was nice and cosy when the fire was lit as well.

This special place is a family favourite! Our two (10 and 8 years) counted down for months to return to ‘the cabins on the hilltop’. Our second visit was just as amazing as the first. The cottage is so perfectly located and equiped. It made the evenings in so cozy and relaxing. Our two just love the early morning adventure out and views, and of course the animal feeding. Deb and Brian are amazing hosts; friendly, welcoming and happy to help in any way. A great place to escape and refocus!

Absolutely sensational ! Deb and Brian are wonderful hosts making sure everything is perfect from the immaculate cottages with an abundance of wood for the wood heater and a hamper to die for ! The cottages are stocked with everything you need for a very relaxing and peaceful stay . Beautiful bush property to wander around too
