What a fantastic spot. Thank you to Graeme and Mandy, you are the perfect hosts. We will be back. It is a small piece of paradise in Carnarvon. Dont change a thing !! Beds are great, aircon is wicked and the location speaks for its self.

We stayed for a week while we waited for our car to be fixed. We had such a wonderful time. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away. It is off the beaten track and has access to the ocean on one side, great for fishing, beach cricket and a swim in the estuary. Fishing in the...

My wife and i had three wonderful nights at the Canal Beach Retreat and what a 'treat' it was. The managers ,Chris and Wayne, are the perfect hosts. On arrival we were shown to our 'Home from Home' all the necessaries for a self-catering break. Chris and Wayne gave us the tour within a short time of arrival so that...

We booked to stay here for 1 night and that was too long. Location is lovely, and the owners were friendly and helpful when we were checking in. We stayed in the 2 bed unit. It is very basic, outdated, dusty and dirty. There was a dead cockroach in the shower, 2 dead cockroaches on the floor in our room...

Nice place to wind down and relax.Good for keen swimmers and fisherman as the place is surrounded by water. You can hire a boat or jump on several charters for a day's fishing or just an outing...Staff is good and the prices are reasonably fair. The place is quiet and peaceful.

Don’t be expecting a resort or a retreat! This is a cheap and chirpy motel style place. A great location out of town on the canal. We stayed 2 nights and the fellow guests were mostly middle aged men on fishing trips or live in locals. The good news is, while noisy early on, they peaked early and went to...

We took a gamble by booking this place with not much knowledge of it. We stayed overnight. Located on Babbage Island, this place is in a great location with canal on one side and beach on the other. With two very young kids the canal made me nervous and we were constantly focused on their safety. Good basic accommodation. The...

Stayed here on the way to Exmouth. Now called Carnavon Beach Canal Retreat. Fancy name for fairly basic accommodation. Great for fisherpeople, not a honeymoon resort. Proposed extensions never took place, some of the units are rented long-term to locals. Apart from that, the location is fantastic and very peaceful. Units are clean and well-maintained, but basic. Having a drink...

It's really hard to find this hotel because it's not signposted from anywhere but a little plate at the jetty. Drive 3 km to the south along the beach and there it is at the tip of Pelican Point. On three sides surrounded by water Lance and Sally who left everything in Perth are trying to make this hotel a...
