Brilliant location...short stroll to beach and town centre. Magnificent historic house with gorgeous decorating. We stayed in the upstairs deluxe spa suite......so relaxing and absolutely huge. Serge, the owner, has such an intense passion, love and flare. Breakfasts amazing!

We had the larger room upstairs that really has everything. This accommodation is perfectly placed and a great base for the Geographe area. It has lovely gardens to enjoy if your sitting on the balcony chilling out with a glass of wine. The breakfast sets you up for the day, we recommend the Newberry muesli mix.

Lanterns Retreat exceeded all our expectations. We'd read the reviews, of course, but they didn't really prepare us for the warmth of our welcome and the sense of being in a lovely home. We had a large, light, comfortable room, beautifully furnished. Doors opened out onto the front verandah and the garden/pool. The en suite was excellent, with full bath,... More

We chose to stay 3 nights at Lantern Retreat with Serge as our host. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable, with a new and well functioning bathroom. Our excellent breakfast was prepare and served by Serge, a delightfully warm, interesting and funny chap who made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble, and whose attention to detail... I stayed for two nights on a business trip and would definitely go again. The room was spacious and comfortable, and very quiet. The host, Serge was very friendly and went out of his way to make the stay there for all the guests as good as possible. Breakfast was way above any other BnB I've stayed at. I would... More

We stayed 2 nights at Lanterns in dunsborough. The room had a very comfortable bed and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The outdoor area was nice to enjoy a wine at the end of the day. A good, quiet location...short walk to the beach and town. Short drive to walks, surf beaches and wineries. Would definitely stay again if I... More

We opted to stay 2 nights at Lanterns Retreat to attend a wedding at Erravilla Estate in the south west. Serge remembered us from a previous visit and was both a welcoming and intriguing host. He always has new and varied projects on the go from diving to building, music and art initiatives. The rooms are big and well appointed... More

Perfect place for a couple to relax for 2 or 3 days. Comfortable and quiet, close to town but just far enough away. Serge, the host, goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. Excellent breakfast. We stayed for two nights, and considered changing our plans to stay an extra night just because it was so relaxing.
