We paid $250 a night for a one roomed unit, it was not as nice as we had anticipated and probably a 1 star rating. Be careful when booking, this is not as nice as it looks. The breakfast was a nice addition, however, a bit unhygienic.

Had a great stay at Auntie Dawn's. It's definitely not posh, but it's really clean and felt homey and comfortable. Also took great care of us, suggesting places to grab food and whatnot considering holiday hours. Also, so very close to hot water beach!

Most lovely place on our long vacation. Room is spacious and very clean. Facilities are perfect. The surrounding is superb with big trees, shrubs, and fruits, plus a lot of birds singing all the time. Not so long walk to the beach, (longer than some other place but quiet). Warm and informative welcome from our host Sandra. Wish I could...

We stayed one night to see Cathedral Cove and Hot Water beach. We came a bit to late for the daytime low tide, so our host Sandra suggested we should go by midnight and leneds us a flashlight and a showel to dig our pit. This was such a fantastic experience since we were all alone on the beach under...

This place was quirky and weird and just how I like it. The camping and stars were incredible and she came down in the morning with her "auntie" hat on and offered us some eel food to feed the eels with! Such a lovely place. Plus the showers were really a welcomed sight. Hot water for as long as you...

What a great little place to stay! Tucked up above the beach and set in a lovely garden, there are two B & B rooms, complete with shovels, buckets, torches and outside showers - everything you need for digging your hot pool! The rooms were old fashioned - vintage style - but very clean and well equipped! Each also had...

I was only going to stay one night, but stayed for two. A great place for camping, in beautiful gardens in an orchard. Very hospitable owners, especially the owners father Joe. I had a grand time. Hope you have a great 80th birthday Joe. All the best.

We stayed at Auntie Dawn's Place for one night in August and have never met such friendly and welcoming people. Experiences are all based on expectations, and if you are expecting 5 star luxury then yes you will be disappointed, however as a young family we found the 'home away from home' ideal. The room was self contained on the...

Unbelievable...stayed 4 nights, great bed, great Hot water ( as well as the springs..) its the little touches that make a holiday. like bread butter jam etc. (breakfast items included), good heating on a cold evening. Quiet, and then all the help with touring around....it was a pleasure to say ''Auntie Dawn sent us,"" to the attraction operators...if we return...

We stayed here for 1 night last week and it was great. I should mention that in booking accommodation in advance of arriving on the Coromandel Peninsula we found it was pretty much the only place that we could arrange to stay just 1 night over the Christmas period (most required a 2 nights+). Sandra was lovely and relaxed about...
