I was supposed to stay at Finglen but had an accident and couldn’t go. Douglas and Sabrina were very kind and understanding. They cancelled my booking free of charge even though it was a non refundable booking . I will go to stay in the future .

Sabrina and Douglas are very lovely hosts which made me feel at home from the very first minute I arrived. Not to forget Rhona and Oscar... I had wonderful days enjoying the nice garden and forest around the house. Every day started with an excellent breakfast and ended in front of a cozy fire in the evening. Looking forward to my stay next year in May.

After you manage the little challenge to find it - look for Schönstatt entrance - you reach a very cosy and classic B&B at an exceptional setting. This is the kind of place where movie makers would properly choose for a perfect B&B location shot. But beside the fact it is simply a great, distinctive, feel good B&B, which is very well operated by Sabrina and Douglas Campbell, who let you from the first second feel as a part of the family. This place is also a perfect base camp for all kind of activities between Glasgow, Stirling, Loch Lomond etc....excellent!

Finglen Bed and Breakfast was a lovely place to spend a few days. It's a great location near Glasgow and Loch Lomond and many other places to visit but it's in a beautiful, quiet, restful location. There is a burn running through the property which adds to the peaceful feeling. Everything about this house was welcoming; not just Sabrina, our hostess, but also the fires in the living areas and the pets. We would highly recommend this b and b and would love to go back one day.

Two of us and a dog stayed here to break our long journey north. It is like staying with friends as there are only two rooms available. The owners are delightful and most welcoming. Being very dog friendly was a massive bonus for us too .The house is quietly situated at the end of a tree lined driveway with ample parking. Delightful woodland to walk through and a garden with a stream running by at the front of the house. It was a pleasure to arrive here after a very long drive. We were disappointed not to be given the larger ensuite room that we had booked - that had been given to another couple. We had the smaller, not ensuite room, though the bathroom was just next door and thankfully bathrobes were provided! Also a minor thing but would have appreciated biscuits on the tea tray in the room. No evening meals provided but several pubs are within a very short distance of the house so no problem. The Wi-Fi connected quickly and worked perfectly. We slept very well. Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked to order. All in all a gem and would have given 5 stars if we had been given the room that we booked.

From when you first drive up the drive to this lovely home you know you have come to the right place. This year the grounds looked lovely with all the rhodedendrons and azaleas in all their glory. The hosts Sabrina and Douglas are most welcoming as is their son Billy. Why would you want to stay in a chain hotel when you can stay here? Log fires in the dining room and sitting room add to the charm. We stayed in the red room which has it's own large bathroom with dual aspect windows looking over the garden and woods. It is pleasantly spacious with a sitting area,
Breakfasts were plentiful and cooked to order with free range eggs from their own hens. We recommend the scrabled eggs! This is a great base close to the Campsie Fells and only 30 minutes or so from Glasgow city centre. It is also close enough to allow day trips to the Trossachs and Bute as we discovered over our 3 night stay.
You may be welcomed (if desired) by the twod freindly Cocker spaniels.
Highly recommended if you want a homely B and B with helpful hosts who are good fun too.

We were wanting a few quiet, relaxing days during our 2 month+ travels from Australia. How fortunate we were to discover Finglen House; a real find! It is in a superb, peaceful, wooded setting, only 15 minutes from Glasgow, although you would think you were deep in the highlands. Also close to Loch Lomond.
We were warmly welcomed by Sabrina and later by Douglas. We immediately felt relaxed and at home, and really enjoyed their company and appreciated their recommendations for dining out and places to visit.
Breakfast was yummy, especially Sabrina's muesli, and Douglas's poached eggs were perfect. We had the use of a charming living room with open fire blazing and fresh flowers. Our bedroom was extremely comfortable and conducive to sleep.

We thoroughly recommend this property and its delightful hosts.

Thank you very much Sabrina and Douglas; we would love to stay again.

Finglen is a hidden gem. We were made to feel part of the family. The room was lovely and decorated beautifully. The radiators were warm on these cold nights and the bed deep and comfy with lovely linen and a thick warm duvet. The breakfast was magnificent and our hostess Sabrina was just perfect. The 2 spaniels, red hen and three guinea fowls all welcomed us as friends. The gardens and woodlands are wonderful and we can't wait to return in the summer and bar-b-que by the sparkling Fin Burn- what a find. Thank you.

This is a beautiful house, owned by a lovely couple and the breakfasts are fantastic and very filling. It is a little hard to find initially, but the grounds are lovely and so is the accommodation. We only stayed one night, but have recommended it to a number of people already.

Room Tip: Ask for the red room, as it has best ensuite.
