We had a suite and it was beautifully appointed, and the most pleasant and conveniently laid out bathroom that I as a woman have ever seen in a hotel or inn. The combination of attractive period piece and modern convenience was perfect. The staff was very pleasant. Breakfast was ok, the spinach omelet was wonderful but the grits, meh. We...

I give 4 stars for the charming exterior and lobby and 2 stars for accommodations, which averages out to 3 stars. Breakfast was good, and if you like inadequate lighting, small bathrooms and old wallpaper, this is your place. If you want updates such as adequate lighting, electrical outlets and security, go to a modern motel in Boone.

We’re very sorry that you didn’t feel that there was sufficient lighting or adequate outlets in your room. We will be sending you a private message to ask which room you occupied so that we may review that room to see if additional lighting, or power strips may be required in that room. As far as security, we will also...

Checked in for a few days in July and immediately felt the gracious southern charm of this historic 19th c. Inn. The new owners are doing are doing a fine job of restoring the impressive wooden structure, bringing it back to its glory days. We stayed in Marilyn Monore's suite, enjoyed the same view of the mountains off the balcony....

First, this is a historic old country. If you want charm, it has it in spades. If you want a 21st century luxury St. Regis experience, don’t stay here. It has its quirks. First the good. The staff is one of the nicest and friendliest that I have ever encountered. From the front desk, to the valet and wait staff,...

We booked several months in advance to ensure that we got a room close to the Highland games that had mobility access rooms for my handicap mother. We called 2 weeks in advance to confirm the mobility room and once we arrived the night manager said there were 2 rooms but that had mobility access but both were in use...

We feel that this is a very unfair representation. We expressed sincere concern for you, when your issues were brought to our attention. Our front desk manager and our General Manager took a great deal of time to speak with you, and it was agreed upon, by all parties, that the misinformation originated with the online travel agent that the...

Highway was under construction in front of the hotel which made it dicy to get out. Big room which was nice, but the bathroom was very small and the view was of a flat roof top. The hotel is very near Main Street were all the action and restaurants are located. We were impressed with the friendliness of the entire staff....

Thank you for reviewing and we're glad you enjoyed your stay! Each room in our hotel is different from the next. Some have larger rooms and smaller bathrooms, some have smaller rooms and larger bathrooms, and some have a larger room with a larger bathroom. Some rooms have better views than others. We try to match our guests up with...

We honeymooned at the Green Park Inn 26 years ago. We returned this week to find it every bit as charming as we remembered...except the bathrooms were remodeled and much better! It is truly a throw back in time when you step inside. We had the modified American package which included an incredible 3 course dinner and breakfast! The food...

Breakfast is included with all overnight reservations, but the Modified American Plan includes the 3 course dinner as well. I'm glad you found it as charming as it was when you were here...

Excellent historical hotel at a reasonable rate. We stayed here for a weekend to celebrate our anniversary. They are in ongoing renovations but we never noticed any disruption or mess. We had a king bed room and it was very comfortable. Loved the tavern. It is old and historical in itself. A nice place to chill after exploring Blowing Rock....

The graceful Victorian era hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, has been lovingly and faithfully restored as of the fall of 2010. Turn back the clock to a more genteel time when exquisite attention to guest's needs, a polite, respectful and helpful staff, and an atmosphere of quiet elegance was the magnet that drew authors, poets, presidents and first ladies to the cool mountain breezes of the Green Park Inn. Come and experience our affordable elegance. When you want to spend time away, spend it somewhere that's timeless. The Chestnut Grille Restaurant is open nightly, or weekends seasonally.
