The motel was old and small, however it was clean. Unfortunately it got cold and the heat wasn't working in room one. If you want to take a hot shower you need to get up early. Its plenty hot if you get ahead of everyone else. You can definitely get more for your money if you shop around. The short...

We stayed here on Labor Day weekend when prices all over the area were high. We were able to get a very reasonable rate at Alpen Acres for a comfortable room. The motor inn is situated high on a hill and is easy to miss, but at night they have white lights on the fences that make it easy to...

First, I must say that the people at the desk were so welcoming and did all they could to accommodate us. Our room, #3, didn't have a microwave, but when I told them I needed one to heat up a back support, they quickly brought one to the room. There are no frills here, but the room was clean, the...

So, I can honestly say I was iffy about this 'motel' but was pleasantly pleased with our experience. We were in room #19 so this is a review for that room. PROS....same size as normal hotel rooms, quiet..even though the place was FULL, great customer service, fridge..microwave... Coffee maker...flat screen on the wall, Kids loved the pool, not far from...

Recommended by the owner of Hidden Valley Motel. This motel is located in Blowing Rock. The owners were extremely nice and helpful. They communicated through email with me and helped set up a one night stay. They were able to make things accessible since I was in crutches. The room was clean and reminded me of staying at grandma and...

We stayed in room#14. Booked a room with two queen size beds but was informed that there were maint. issues and they would offer us a queen size bed and pull out sofa. The pull out sofa was actually a fouton that was not made for sleeping on. The room smelled very musty and we constantly sprayed fabreeze to try...

Do you want to be right downtown? Do you want elegant amenities and super deluxe linens? Do you want a minimum night stay forced upon you? If you answered YES to any of these, get out a map and pick another hotel. Oh, and be prepared to pay twice as much. If, on the other hand, you want a location...

Although this motel is older, it was very clean and well maintained. We stayed in room 14 and had our own private parking space. The pool was clean and never crowded. There were picnic tables and a charcoal grill for use that was kept clean. We asked for a refrigerator and on the 2nd day they opened up a full...

I took my grandsons to Grandfather Mountain and we stayed at the Alpens Acres Motel. It was an old motel, but it was clean. Had nice, fluffy towels and the room was cleaned everyday. The landscaping was beautiful. My grandsons really enjoyed the pool after a day of climbing Grandfather Mountain and riding the Tweetsie Railroad.
