This campground is pretty dated, and the bath facilities are in need of updating. They also need to add more lighting, particularly outside the bath house where there is not enough lighting for safety purposes. For what I needed for this one night, it was fine. I probably would look for another place to camp if I were in the...

I do not understand the negative reviews I just read. If you are wanting a jam packed, completely flat, lack of scenery type place, I suggest going to a KOA. This was gorgeous scenery, on a mountain, mature trees, fun for the kids. It couldn't have gotten better for us. We actually felt like we had a good distance from...

We had a great time at HoneyBear, and found it's location to be perfect. It's close to town, but still secluded at the same time. The raod getting to the campground might be of concern for some, but I saw 5th wheels and a couple of Class A's there, so it isn't impossible! The staff was very friendly, the coffee...

By far this is my family's favorite campground. Honey Bear offers what so many other campgrounds do not - a place for kids to really be kids - whether that is playing in the creek, fishing in the pond, swinging on the awesome double swing or exploring all that nature has to offer. My girls can't wait to get out...

We really enjoyed staying here. Staff was pleasant and helpful. They had a movie night for the kids. We did have any of the problems that were in other reviews. I could tell they were upgrading the camping grounds.

Honey Bear is a beautiful place but unfortunately once you book a site you cannot count on getting that site when you arrive. For more years than we can count we have stayed at Honey Bear but never again. We made reservations back in January for our annual family camping trip and the morning we were leaving in August 1...

Honey Bear Campground *is* what a campground would be if a campground were run by creative liberal arts college students instead of fellow campers, business professionals, or landscapers. That can be good and bad. Traversing the roads to get there can be complicated depending on the size of your rig. We recommend going through NC 105 instead of the Blue...

Never told about no cable tv. When arrived site pass taped to door (3pm) first night no cable thought I would get cable box next day. Next am was told they no longer have cable TV, just use your tablet. Well WiFi sucks big time. It kicks you off every few minutes because other people need to use it is...

Thank you for your feedback on our campground and the items you found to be unsatisfactory with your stay. The Honey Bear staff strives to offer good customer service and yet we do realize some things may not have any sort of resolution you would be satisfied with. HBC management has decided to discontinue cable service throughout the campground and...

The website makes the place look much better than it is. It is not as easily accessible to Boone as stated on the web, and you have to drive on a long and rather winding road to get there. We found the campground to be lacking in general maintenance. The electric pedestal at our site (A11) was falling apart and...
