My husband and I went to Bryson City for a day and decided to stay overnight. I looked for places online and saw this location. I called and Mercedith had a cabin for us. When we arrived she was very nice and we talked for a while. She is a very nice lady. As stated in another review, it's as... More

My wife and I have stayed in just about all their different rooms or cabins over the fifteen years on our weekend trips from Atlanta. Prior to that we used to camp at Deep Creek, but now we prefer convenience of staying here. Merecedith is always accommodating and the perfect host. Personally we like cabin #2 the best. You can... We never saw the proprietor of this Bed & Breakfast. The cabin was adequate, however, in our opinion, was too expensive considering the run-down condition of the entire property. The driveway is suicidal; in fact, we dinged up our brand new bumper trying to turn around in the totally inadequate driveway. Next time we visit the Smokies, we will find... More

We planned a trip to Bryson City NC for a week and wanted to stay in town. I found the West Oak B&B while googling places to stay as we wanted something more than a hotel/motel room. We originally reserved Room #4 for the 6 nights with 7th free but declined the "free breakfast" and booked the room only which... More

First of all, they are not a true bed and breakfast, but the website mentions that by stating you can get a breakfast coupon for a local establishment, or pay a lower rate. We chose the lower rate, which I recommend because everything is a short walk, and we generally sleep in. The rooms are really neat. They are adorned... More

We stopped here last minute winding our way through the western part of NC while doing some fly fishing and exploring. This is a nice place located in Bryson City. We reserved a room but were upgraded to a cabin which was really nice. Nice view of the mountains, but I want to make clear for anyone traveling that you... More

We stayed in room #4 two adults and 1 child. We wanted to stay at a B & B and support a local business. Most B&B's require you stay two nights-- but the West Oak was happy to have us for one night. The room was clean and spacious with the best kiddo bed EVER. Breakfast at the Evertt St.... More

We were traveling with three adults and an 18 month old and needed lodging to accommodate all of our needs. We were planning to travel to Bryson City to ride the train and needed rooms for two nights. We were traveling at the end of peak color season and knew lodging would be difficult. I contacted Mercedith at West Oak... More

My husband and I stayed in Cabin 2 and were pleasantly surprised by its rustic charm and location. Situated on a mountain, this home away from home had a huge king-sized bed, quaint kitchen, and beautiful view. Had we known it would be so wonderful we would have stayed longer. Ms. Bacon was a gracious host and we will definitely... More
