My wife and I were planning to ride our tandem bicycle up the Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville. It was early November and not much was open. Fortunately, after some online searching, we came across Albert's Lodge. What a godsend! We got a spacious room, had a covered place to park our tandem, and, to top things off, Albert's has...

Check in with Van went super smooth and he's a really nice and knowledgeable guy. Room was very spacious and clean. Cooler temperatures were prevailing and the heat worked in stellar fashion. Lots of hot water for showers after a full day of hiking. Kitchenette with a small refrigerator and microwave was really nice. Beds were comfortable with extra blankets...

Thank you for you kind review - we strive to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness as well as making our rooms as comfortable as possible for our guests. I do apologize for the long haul for dinner - unfortunately, the two excellent restaurants within walking distance of us close down at the end of the season which is May...

Albert's Lodge offered my group an extremely friendly, welcoming atmosphere to enjoy a weekend visit exploring the Blue Ridge Parkway. We were given everything we needed, including kitchen supplies and tips on trails to explore. Albert even taught us everything we needed to know about starting a proper campfire to enjoy with friends. We were extremely grateful for the excellent...

Secure internet (a good thing because when I am near mountains my cell phone does not work...) Debbie and Van (owners) as friendly and helpful as can be. They will arrange to help you shuttle your...

We stayed at this lodge for a weekend in the summer. We stayed in the motel portion. Room was clean with very basic accommodations. There is a nice stove and fridge but no pots or pans. If you plan on cooking please be sure to bring your own. The owners were very nice and helpful. Nice view of Mt. Mitchell...

So glad you enjoyed your stay and found the accommodations acceptable. We do offer all the cooking utensils and tableware which you might need to cook in your room which we store in bins behind the office. We even had a request for everything needed to bake a cake on one occasion which we were able to provide. We normally...

I recently stayed at Albert's for a motorcycle rally. I rented one of the cottages and it was better than expected. It was very clean and had an 'at-home' feel to it. Van and Debbie were exceptional hosts for our rally. They helped in any way they could, including taking great pictures of our group. They were also very fun...

Albert's Lodge, under new(ish) management (we hadn't been up in a few years) is a dog-friendly, people-friendly, super-cyclist-friendly lodge nestled at the foot of the Black Mountains. Spectacular falls an easy walk away, and trails (for hardy cyclists & hikers) straight up the mountain side to the peak of Mt. Mitchell, tallest east of the Mississippi. We really enjoyed the...
