Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I stayed in a suite at the El Camino Motel following working a fundraising event for Southwestern Community College that was held at Harrah's Cherokee Resort. I checked in early, which was not a problem for the friendly and accommodating front desk manager. The room was quite large and beautifully appointed with modern furniture and fixtures. The suite contained a seating area that could've easily accommodated a rollaway bed or cot, a spacious king bed, a large, high-countered stone vanity with double sinks, a large flat-screen TV housed in a lovely armoire and a huge bathroom with large jacuzzi tub and a a walk-in shower that could've accommodated 6 people. It was equipped with several towel racks. The room was also air-conditioned and equipped with a coffee maker, coffee

The People were nice . The room was clean. The beds were the worst ever. There was a 3 foot round 4 inch deep depression in the middle of one bed. The other bed though more flat was the cheapest mattress money could buy you felt every spring and the wire on the edge. Also you have to pay for ice. Stay somewhere else.

We booked this motel for 3 nights. The only problem we had was parking. We had to park our car across the lot in the grass because the room next to us took our space to park one of their three cars. It made packing our car very inconvenient.. I told the manager that they should have one spot in front of each room with the room number on it. He said they couldn't do that.

I was told about this small family owned resturant from a friend. I loved it, nothing fancy, rooms standard, but it felt like home. Great views, walk to the Casino in minutes. Staff is the best, They were so kind to my dog. I will stay again soon.!!

They have not put any money in to this motel for years. The linens on the bed had stains, the springs came through the mattress and poked you in the back. I had to take the top spread and fold it several times to put under my back. 3 pillows on the bed but they were so worn they didn't make one. Thank goodness I brought my own. You have to pay for ice. Yes the motel is next door but it is almost a mile to walk to the Casino. This is why I chose this motel. No pets allowed but I probably would not want my pets to walk on the carpets without shoes. Never again

I gotta say this place actually was better than my first impression, the staff was the nicest I encountered the entire time we were in Cherokee, the rooms were in need of a little updating but all in all they were great rooms, very spacious and the beds were actually quite comfortable, I'd stay here again and again, considering the price of 189.00 in front of the casino in a room the was 1/4th of the size and far worse shape to the 89.00 a night we paid for ours, definitely going back!

Room stinks, toilet bowl wasn't cleaned, most unacceptable was that the bed looked okay but as I uncover the quilt, found that the sheets was already wrinkled and dirty spots all over including pillow cases. Tried to have them replaced but the front desk was closed as of 22:30.

I like supporting family-owned (privately owned) businesses. There is nothing fancy about this hotel. You still have to register using a pencil or pen and sign a registration card. There is no breakfast. A bucket of ice costs 25 cents. It does have a wonderfully friendly owner/manager, good, front door parking, no stairs, good view, coffee in the room, comfortable beds, and a good location to almost everything in Cherokee. The only caution I can give is don't eat across the street at the Wendy's. It was the worst meal we ate on our week long trip.

This is not the Ritz - and it doesn't cost like the Ritz! The El Camino is a small family-owned motel. It is clean, quiet, fairly comfortable and extremely convenient to the casino! In fact, you walk form the motel's parking lot to the lower end of the casino parking lot and catch the free shuttle to the front door! Can't beat that! You can park right outside your door and no stairs to climb. Sure, the television is outdated as well as the décor. But, if you want clean, comfy, convenient and reasonably priced - you can't beat it. In my opinion, the rooms closest to the casino lot - 127 thru 130 - are the best! Would definitely stay here again. We were here for probably one of the most popular weekends of the year for the area. However, I did not feel like the prices
