Stayed two nights in a room facing the street, but was not bothered by noise at all. impressive, for an old building, are the conveniences for guests. small bathroom, yet more than enough towels and toiletries. Excellent air conditioning, a mini-fridge that actually cools, comfortable sitting chair, comfortable bed with plenty of pillows, private porch. welcome bottle of wine in...

This was a great find. We needed a place to stay on the way home from the beach. Lovely old stagecoach stop restored to a bed and breakfast. Wonderful friendly and well-traveled hosts made us feel very welcome. We also recommend Medina's Restaurant. Very good gourmet quality food at a reasonable price. One small complaint the air conditioner blew directly...

Needed a hotel for two night visit to Lake Lure/Chimney Rock. Our normal cabin choice was booked, so we chose Fibber MaGees. Perfectly adequate for couples, not so much for families. Free minimalist breakfast, free wifi, free parking. Mini-golf course adjacent to and owned by the hotel. Golf not upscale by any means, but a fun diversion if needed. Owners...

This was our second trip to Fibber Magees. This time we had our toddler with us, so we stayed in the family friendly room-Suite 8. I admit I was sad to see this place is for sale, but I imagine the owners are ready for a new adventure, so who am I to judge. I just hope new owners will...

We were looking for a quiet and romantic getaway, but this hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room had a lovely sitting room and a huge king bed, but the best part was our private balcony. We often sat here in the evening, but our favorite part was that we could sit and have breakfast together and look at the river....

My parents have been here before. I wanted to go to the Easter Service at Chimney and stayed here at Fibber MaGee's. Charming. Relaxing. Will definitely come back. The coffee from the coffee shop is delicious. Put put course is friendly and challenging. It is located in Chimney Rock Village which is very charming.

My wife and I have been going to Fibber MaGee's for several years now. We try to go at least twice a year. Carol and Larry are the best hosts and we just love the Inn. We especially love the rooms on the back side, closest to the river. However if those rooms aren't available you can still enjoy the...

Ken, Thank you so much for your kind words and patronage. Larry and I always look forward to seeing you and Wanda. Your visits over the last years is the reason we love having this Inn. Each time I return to this gorgeous area, I think it is my most favorite time of the year there and autumn most certainly supports that! But, no matter which season I visit, I am certain I will find my stay perfect in every way. In October, I booked the Hick'ry Nut Cottage and the views from the upper unit...
