My sister and I came to NC to visit our aunt and cousin and came across The Morning Glory Inn on Trip Advisor. I am so glad we did! The house is beautiful, but Betsy, the owner is what made our stay even more memorable. Betsy is a funny, charming host and amazing cook. Make sure to check out the... More

Wow. Leave you children at home and enjoy this beautiful 106 year old home with your loving partner. Betsy runs this B&B and is an elegant and charming hostess. She bakes up awesome cakes. You'll see her only when you need to. My room was large and the 4 poster bed was very comfortable. Yes, I had my own private... More

I was in Clayton for my Mother's 80th Birthday, and as available beds in family houses filled, I cast about for a comfortable place to stay convenient to the weekend's events. Morning Glory Inn fit that bill. Everything one hopes for from a B and B---charming decor, very comfortable and well appointed room, and a wonderful breakfast--all at very reasonable... More

Stayed here on our way back from Florida, it's just the right stop between stops. The house was charming and very comfortable, full kitchen available for snacks, sodas and fridge with ice. Had a very friendly chat with the hostess like we were friends stopping for a overnight, comfy as could be. Room was very clean, bathroom amenities were all... More

This was our first time to stay at a B&B. The experience was unique to us and a very pleasant surprise. We were greeted by Betsy and shown all the areas downstairs available to us. There were no TVs in the room but a nice parlor to relax in and watch if one wanted to. The rooms were large and... More

Enjoyed my stay here very much. It was very safe, parking was safe and easy. The room was very well appointed and bed comfortable. Everything was very clean. Betsy was very kind and hospitable and very helpful with anything I needed or suggestions for shopping or dining. I would stay here again.

We know we can count on a wonderful B and B experience when we stay at the Morning Glory Inn. Went for a mother daughter weekend this time and had a wonderful time. MGI is a really close walk to the cute little downtown area which is fun. Breakfast was delicious as we've come to expect. All they need now... More

We recently stayed at Morning Glory Inn in Clayton, NC, for several days and had a wonderful experience. Betsy, the owner, was very nice and accommodating. She went out of her way to make sure that everything was perfect during our stay. The breakfasts were really delicious, and different each day. Apple pancakes, stuffed french toast, pecan caramel sticky buns,... More

A LONG way south of Stockbridge, MA, but this was vintage Norman Rockwell.... maybe he visited!! If he did, its one of the few things that the wonderfully hospitable hostess Betsy didn't tell us in early-December. Quiet, but just off Main Street, the wrap-around porch house had an absolutely fabulous feel. Genuine warmth. Felt like a step back in time.... More

We stayed for a one night getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay. One excellent ammenity is the "guest kitchen" with snacks; drinks, and a fridge. We would recommend the owner's restaurant as well (Clayton Steak House).
